Yasuko, I use magrain beads made in Japan. They do not penetrate the skin but still stimulate a point and disperse pain. I use them a lot on myself and massage clients when needed. I can share more info with you if you want.

Does the needle pierce the skin - I presume it does for you to require a biohazard disposal bin?

Yes it does but no blood just like the acupuncture with long needles.
