I have a couple questions! :) 1) Are there any brands that you would recommend? (bedding, toys, hides, etc.) 2) What type of bedding do you use? 3) At 4:00 what is the wooden structure? Hi there, Thank you for your comment! It is nice to hear that the channel has been helpful to you :) In general, I find that small animals will love the natural & free items as much as those from the pet store. For instance, wood pieces, branches, hanging ropes, plant pots, rocks, pipes etc seem to be very popular. I used low dust horse bedding (which comes in bales) mixed with hay to help hold the structure of their burrows. I believe the wooden structure is from the brand Trixie if I remember correctly. Hope that helps :)

@Forrest Mcgee ikea detolf's are cabinets originally built and designed for displaying items in your house, like a tall and long glass cabinet. Rodent owners got the idea to flip it on it's side without one side of glass, as a very long but somewhat narrow enclosure for their animals to live in. It doesn't come with a lid of course, so you can DIY it. (usually mesh lids are used)

Do they sometimes bite because my two gerbils who are both female one of them (the smaller one) tail is a little bit bloody and there’s blood on cardboard them play fighting is the only way I think this could’ve happened or when I closed the lid them having their tails out but if that happened there tail would be ripped off they normally dig together I think it’ll be alright

I own gerbils but... what is with the cup of water? Is that their water supply? I've never heard of giving them a dish of water like that. That can spill and I heard it's really bad to get them wet

both dishes a water botttles are fine. dishes need to be changed every day. they give the gerbil a more natural way to drink water. if a little bit of water splashes on them they will be completely fine. it is very rare for them to actually become fully submerged in water.

Hello! I have two gerbils and they are such a joy! Definitely get more than one gerbil, they are very social animals. also, make sure they have a cage that allows them to burrow because they love burrowing. They chew a lot so it’s a good idea to get them plenty of chew toys. They should also have a wheel in their cage and a sand bath once a week. I hope this helped! They are pretty low maintenance but still require a lot of care and love :)
