I use a 63 gallon custom aquarium tank! You can find tanks in fish stores usually and some local ones custom make them for you

Yes and no haha i used a glass to cover coroplast which was the divider. Since then I’ve changed to terracotta bricks

I used a bendy bridge for rabbits as a divider to separate the sand pit where their wheel is and they seriously chewed through the bottom of 3 logs lol so now the sand pit is no more. It has bedding lol

Any kind of dust isn't good for gerbils as they have sensitive respiratory systems, it's always best to stick to sand but avoid anything that uses clay sand because this can also cause respiratory problems as it basically sticks to the inside of their airways, my personal favourite is dye-free and calcium-free reptile desert sand 🙂

It would have to be safe untreated wood! Apple, pear, hazelnut, pecan, birch, aspen, magnolia, even rose canes, blackberry/raspberry canes, all work!

Maybe it's the kind of bedding you use. Maybe they are digging, but the bedding isn't sturdy enough to hold the burrows.

A pair is ideal, but technically 2-4 can live with each other. It is trickier and i don’t recommend having more than 2 in most cases, but it’s not unheard of for a trio to get along. It is something you have to pay most attention to, but being siblings makes it slightly easier. 3-5 years are the most important years to keep an eye on due to becoming elderly. They can try to change the order of their clan when weaknesses show. Of course we still need more information and how much siblings change that behavior. Lemon, Beanie, and Almond are sisters, they were separated from their parents, so I did not have the heart to leave one behind.
