It's better than Valheim by far due to having a handcrafted world, nothing is more annoying than procedural generation.

Thank you for this great video. I played the Demo when it was out - until it closed. I couldn't stop playing it - even after all of the objectives had been fulfilled several times over. Then I continued to explore every nook and hidden cranny. I also did a deep dive into the building part (which I absolutely loved) I honestly cannot wait for this game to drop. ONLY 10 MORE DAYS!! I think this game is going to be better than Valheim was when it was released - and that is hard for me to say because I loved early release Valheim - however with mistlands, I lost a little bit of love for the game - but that's for another video - I won't go into that here. TY again for this video. I'm looking forward to more and more youtubes on Enshrouded after release.

I love valheim too and will always. I plan on continuing my world when Ashlands is out. But yeah, the Mistlands was annoying and tedious in my opinion. I still ended up beating the Queen though.

Definitely a game I can sink a lot of time into. I'm very excited for this one. The only thing that will likely pull me from this is how often I get to play with friends (I am looking to have a server with two others, but not sure how often they can play, and playing games with story feels difficult if people can't be around often unless they are okay with missing it), and also Nightengale coming out a month later is going to draw me away as well. Great video overview.

With games like Valheim, playing with friends you enjoy spending time with is the best way to play a game such as that.

Definitely one of the most anticipated games of 2024 for me. Itll do great at the start, its familiar enough to feel at home playing it but unique enough to give you a sense of awe and wonderment. Thats a great spot to be as a developer. The big question is, how much is still being worked on and not in the early access and will it be enough to hold a fanbase long enough to become a staple. Ive seen a lot of promising games come out into early access and seem amazing only to be dead less than a month later because the content got burned through too fast with little on the horizon to gaurantee itll get better or the devs lose focus and become out of touch with the fanbase. And if a game has fans losing interest within the first month then itll fall flat fast. I dont believe that will happen to Enshrouded tho because people played up to 20 hours of a 8 hour demo months ago and have been left wanting more since. Thats a good sign that its something special.

I will be there on the 24th. I am super hyped, all the concepts and all I have seen points to Enhsrouded being an amazing game; maybe pushing Valheim of the throne. Going in blind (no looking up tricks or watching streamers or videos), because figuring out stuff by myself doubles the enjoyment of the game (assumption that this will be the case for this game, it certainly was with Valheim).

I'm waiting not so patiently. If the devs stick to their vision this game is going to be big. Enshrouded is beautiful, and it hits every button. 7 days!! OMG!!!! So EXCITED!!! It's been a long wait since October, and now, just a week. I'm not going to play Enshrouded, I'm going to live in Embervale!!! (well, for a couple of days, then I have to go back to being a grown up) Just the quality of life stuff the devs have done in this game, make playing it amazing, and the lore, the adventure, the building, beating up bad guys... This game feels good. It's going to be wonderful to play a game, not feel like I'm working in one. Thanks for the video. Best Wishes

Thank you for this excellent early overview of the game. I had no idea that it was Voxel based or even what that meant prior to watching this. That alone has made be extremely eager to hop onto this game asap. I am beyond excited to check this game out and buy it on early access launch next Wednesday. I am an avid survivor rpg player that started with Ark, moved over to Conan Exiles which I still play to this day, FO76, Valheim, and V Rising which is by far my favorite game of the bunch. Enshrouded, Nightingale, and Light No Fire, I am hopeful will be my new favorite games that I will take over my life, and that I can lose myself in for hopefully years!

Enshrouded is indeed unique. The beta was the only game able to kill and shutdown my pc. Got to enjoy some 4fps tomb gameplay for around 15 seconds with my rx6900xt

After playing PC games for over 30 years, i find that Enshrouded is worth playing. Not as something that ill play until another better games launches, but one that i will be playing for years to come. That is my hope at least. I find myself always going back to games like 7 days to die, or space engineers when i get tired of some of these new AAA titles like Starfield (which i did buy on day one). I have been wanting and waiting for something new to come down the pipeline that i can really sink my teeth into for some time, and i hope that Enshrouded can serve me as the next big steak.

I played Valheim for a bit but the game lagged so hard when playing with other people...The graphics were "stylized" and to me wasnt good looking at all. I still played it for a good while...This game looks like its gonna be everything I wanted Valheim to be...I cant say anything about how laggy its going to be playing with others but I will say the graphics and combat look great.

Videos of this game appeared to me after a friend of mine sent me a video of another survival game called Icarus. I'm not big on survival+crafting+building games, I enjoyed my time with Minecraft back so many years ago, but mostly due to beta version mods adding a bunch of different stuff. Enshrouded here looks really, really interesting tho. It's by far the most visually impressive voxel game I've seen, and I don't mean it just because of the texture work, I mean in how it blends and shapes the blocks in a mechanically functional but also visually natural way. The buildings can end up looking like official models and not obviously player made. Maybe I have rose-tinted glass due to my general inexperience with other similar games, but the little I've seen of this interests me greatly. Will probably take a look at some point. If only my backlog wasn't so stacked already...

I probably bought one game or two each 8 years ( 55 yers old..). and this one is my next game that i will play the first day of the EA. The 8 hours test version was all that i want in a survival-exploration-building game.... no stress to play.. only coop game IF you want to play with friends so no other players that can ruin your experience... perfect.. I think it will be a hit..

This game looks interesting and I am considering picking it up. The only thing that makes me reluctant is in the gameplay I have seen the bosses go down in like 5ish hits. If they make the enemies too easy, especially the bosses, and you are just steamrolling through everything, I could see it getting boring pretty quick. Hopefully the make some adjustments to make the combat more impactful.

I found in the demo, when I first encountered combat, the difficulty was mild and challenging. I found the first boss easier to defeat than my first encounter of combat! I’m sure they will address that leaving the game challenging and enjoyable at the same time! I did not drop tools on death in the demo either. I’ve no clue if that will be staying or going!

It does look detailed. I wonder if they'll add colour at any point in the development. You're brown, your gear is brown, the landscape is brown. It's 2024. We have graphics cards that can do more than one colour on screen at a time. It's like they've used old photos for reference and think the world really used to be in sepia.

The thing that I'm missing with a lot of survival games, and which Valheim does well, is the storyline for progression. I feel like in a lot of survival games it's focusses on the surviving part and only that, which to me grow stale very quickly. So, I'm hoping that Enshrouded has a good storyline, which I cannot detect from the trailers unfortunately.

Valheim has no real storyline, but I understand what you say with the biomes/crafting/bosses progression, you have a purpose. Enshrouded has a story and a progression (from what I've played in the beta). Now that beta was kinda short (8 hours), and based on map size (some says it is 6x the beta size) we can extrapolate it's similar to Valheim in playtime. Anyway, it's just around the corner :D Cheers.

I'm curious if there are bodies of water. Id love to have the ability to teraform and add streams waterfalls ECT to a homebase. But also fishing water based fighting I played the demo n I can't wait.

@@dogs-game-too I heard in another YT video that currently enemies will not be attacking/raiding bases. I'd imagine if any are spawned within a certain vicinity they might attack YOU, but not exactly the base at all yet. Might be something they add in the future!

i really hope the game will have enough unique loot placed around the world. i know that's not the point and job of a survival game but i am basically just trying to still my hunger for good open world rpgs. i already like the look of all the different weapons i saw in your video. i just hope it's not going to be the usual linear upgrade path where your workbench shows you the gear progression of your next 100 hours of gaming beforehand.
