Thank you for watching!! During the development of these two colossal videos, I’ve made huge leaps in progress in catching up to One Piece! Still relatively a lot to go, but check out my Thank You video if you’d like to see more details. But in short, the time it takes to make these videos isn’t really sustainable for covering the entire series, and it will get progressively more weird to talk current tense when my original journalings get more and more dated to when I can finally adapt them to a finished video. I saw a lot of comments not minding that, but eventually I feel my journals are becoming ‘expired’. I guess this is the unfortunate nature of long production videos. But I’m so glad I could churn these ones out and I’m so proud of how they turned out! I also aspire for my channel to be a haven for a lot of different nerd topics. A lot of One Piece fans have been very gracious saying they are keen for whatever I may make, and I’m truly appreciative of that! For people that were hoping for a complete series, I’m deeply sorry, but I hope I can make it up to you with some up-to-date One Piece content soon! While I still can’t read too many comments due to current spoilers that occasionally float about, I’ll try to get back to as many comments as possible! Thank you again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here's a fun bit of trivia for you. When Miss Wednesday was first introduced, she was supposed to be a random Baroque Works goon that would have little-to-no impact on the story. However, after Oda drew her with her hair down, he thought to himself "huh, she looks like a princess," and so he made her the secret, undercover Princess of Alabasta and she ended up becoming a fan favorite character that it still beloved by fans to this day.

I loved your comments on Alabasta, because that pretty much describes the appeal of One Piece to me PERFECTLY. There are so few pieces of fiction with a world that feels this expansive. Every location they visit not only has it's own complex ecosystem, political situation, or history (or sometimes all three), but there are so many ways they all connect together into a bigger picture. Also Nico ties into my absolute favorite concept for this series (which I won't spoil in case you read this), but let's just say the Poneglyphs are about to get interesting.

One piece does such a good job at portraying emotions without any words, but just with action, Luffy giving Nami his strawhat, the strawhats X mark to signify to vivi that they're still friends, and everything else to come just solidifies one piece at the king of non verbal communication when it comes to storytelling Also at 18:100 it reads "Thak you so much for watching my video -Deeroy"

I was also fascinated by the concept of the logpose and the way of navigating islands the first time I read it. The video honestly felt a lot shorter due to how much I was enjoying it. I don't really have the right words but it was just a really good experience. As someone with adhd I often tend to space out or pause/get out of a video, but here I just stayed for every second. The climax of Luffy vs Crocodile was truly a work of art, The line "I dont give a shit who you are...I'LL SURPASS YOU" and punching Crocodile down from the various layers of bedrock...launching him into air while Vivi watched his flying body and remmembered him saying "So I have to just beat Crocodile's ass right?" and understand that this madlad really gone ahead and done it. Fuck, that brings tears to me with how awesome that moment was. It was truly one of the most fiery climax of a arc i've seen and I've seen various other anime before...Naruto, bleach and most other mainstream ones of its time. None matches the sheer beauty of this, because it is simple yet its beautiful. This man just did what he said...despite failing multiple times and being on brink of death multiple times..still going in without hesitation. The sheer grit, determination and willingness to do what is needed...beautiful. Luffy couldn't give 2 shits about Fate of Alabasta but he wouldn't abandon Vivi because she will get killed by Crocodile if she stays the course. His ideas are simple, his ideology cannot be anymore simple minded yet it fulfills the purpose.

Yeah the 4 kids skipped the whole thing with laboon and shot it like the thing in the way at the bottom was an iceberg or something instead of laboon. And they completely skipped the little garden arc. In the 4 kids we see Mr 3 for the first time in Alabasta, and he’s wearing bandages like something happened, but with them cutting that out, we just have to assume this is a new character. They wanted to get to chopper faster to market more, so that’s why. As you can see even skipping arcs like that can make you lose context. Another reason why 4 kids is infamous.

I absolutely loved the video, Alabasta is my "you're going to love or hate one piece at this point" marker. I just can't believe you made a video about alabasta and didn't make a dedication to water luffy in this haha!
