LYRICS : To take away our expression Is to impoverish our existence It's insatiable; What we're waiting for So to keep us from falling apart We'll write songs in the dark And to keep us from fading away We'll write for a better day So to keep us from falling apart We'll write songs in the dark And to keep us from fading away We'll write… It will flourish, it will thrive It will nourish; A spring cleaning of the mind It will flourish, it will thrive To take away our expression Is to impoverise our existence They silence and censor Our right to create In cells we choke, Without what is innate So to keep us from falling apart We'll write songs in the dark And to stop us from fading away We'll write for a better day This vomiting of anguish and eruption of the soul To radiate energy to comfort and console To scatter our thoughts, to splatter our spirit A blizzard of fire with all we transmit It's insatiable What we're waiting for It will flourish, it will thrive It will nourish; A spring cleaning of the mind So to keep us from falling apart We'll write songs in the dark And to stop us from fading away We'll write for a better day

I'm pmsl at how single minded some people are on here, I bet you listened to the first note of the song and decided 'this is shit' and spewed out all of your ugly opinions into the comment section. I agree. If their next album sounded a lot like TTTS I wouldn't for one second be disappointed that they "Didn't progress". They have already showcased their ability to do so. A lot of people support the change (I'm fine with it myself), but I know if they uploaded a new song that was reminiscent of TTTS and was as quality as Sorry You're Not a Winner with great melodies, synthetics, and instrumentation, everyone would be extremely excited and far fewer would say, "what happened ES?!"

I've been listening to them since Commit No Nuisance, Before Take To The Skies and I still love them. The new shit they've been making is hard to get used to but it certainly does grow on you. It's true that this is very reminiscent of their first album but it's way more complex than it was before. Going back to your roots WHILE continuing to grow isn't an easy thing to do, most bands can't do it at all. But Enter Shikari is and will continue to do so.
