I'm so happy this man won a GP. Hard to imagine a more deserving lad.

Gary is one of the most welcoming people I've met, I moved from my home and up to Dundee for university. I regret how little I've played since I came up here but the time I have spent with the community in Scotland have been a treasured memory indeed. Seeing this Enter the Battlefield for a community I have been introduced to and enjoyed has inspired me to start looking at getting back into the game. I'm proud to be lucky enough to be so local to this Scottish community and to have been introduced to a living Magic legend.

"Seeing this Enter the Battlefield for a community" Except, sadly, it wasn't about the community as much as one person in it. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy this video was about an awesome guy, but this should have really just been titled "Enter the Battlefield: Gary Campbell". I'd love to see a proper video about the whole Scottish pro community though - as an Englishman, I completely accept they've eclipsed us (the usual winners of the two, in most professional competitions) in terms of team spirit and success!

Playing Magic at 70, ideally in a prerelease for the umpteen set release, is a dream of mine as well. Cheers.

Gary is a great example of those players in every healthy community who make that community happen. His GP win for me is a just reward for all the effort he’s put in over the years. Be the Gary you want to see in the world.

So good to see the spotlight on Scotland and Gary! Exactly the kind of content Wizards should be making about the MTG community.

I still remember missing the last day of term of school to go to Dundee, walk up to Highlander and buy a bag of 100 commons for a £1 then heading home and throwing them into a random pile that I called a deck. hard to believe it would be 20 years ago!

I'm somewhat befuddled to not know Gary, I've hung out with Scottish players at legacy events all over Europe and know many of the people congratulating him at the end. I'd likely have been there cheering if it hadn't been for waking up with a migraine that day.

I hope GP Coverage turns into something like this for every GP. Instead of time-consuming streams, one well-produced video about the event and the champion's narrative would be cool.

Before clicking on this video, I had never heard of Gary Campbell. Nine minutes later, I want him to be my dad.

LOL, I want him to be my kids dad, they were all qualified for Scottish nationals that year (ages 8, 12, 14), but have played less since then.
