@@Hlk9368 Because deathcore bands that only single out vocals have been done to death and are boring as shit. Bands need to be more creative.
@torchbird28603 жыл бұрын
@@Hlk9368 I've been listening to death core since highschool. I heard some songs from EE years ago and completely ignored them because the music just seemed so lazy. Idk, I think trying to excuse lazy music creativity as just a part of deathcore really discounts all of the other amazing artists that are out there doing cool and creative shit. Like I genuinely have no clue how you qualify that with bands like: Shadow of Intent, brand of sacrifice, Traitors, Spite, or Oceano just to name a few. You sound so fucking dumb lol.
@torchbird28603 жыл бұрын
@@Hlk9368 To be clear, since hearing this new single I've gone back and gave their past works another shot. I thought their last album Luciferous was absolutely excellent. I think the band shows real signs of maturity and the will to branch out and give the band as a whole room to really shine and I appreciate it. At the end of the day, you can't build a long lasting fanbase off of just vocal capabilities and blast beats. You need substance and character and this is something that is not and has never been exclusive to death metal. How stupid.
@torchbird28603 жыл бұрын
@@Hlk9368 Absolutely not man. You're absolutely braindead if you think that deathcore vocalists alone are what make heads really turn and stay turned for a long time. SOI for example has some of the best musical and experimental progression of any band out there and their album is considered one of the best of all time. That is not just on the vocalist lol. This new song from EE sounds literally nothing like their old stuff at all, allowing the vocalist to breathe more and the rest of the band to have their respective spots on the single 100% adds depth and complexity to the music where there was hardly any before on albums like patient 0 where you honestly can hardly tell where a track begins and ends because of how meshed together the vocals and beats are. It's like you have the music actively working to get a voice over the vocals the whole time rather than it just being one cohesive package with texture. Also, you keep using "slipknot" like some sort of insulting adjective over and over. Maybe ask yourself why Slipknot has millions of fans worldwide. Hint: it's not because of just Corey Taylor. Slipknot has had some of the best and most diverse genre bending albums of all time that have absolutely captivated people across the globe. What an ignorant thing to say.
