Why are they giving this guy a platform to speak, he's mentally not stable. Since Chester's passing all he does is go on hours long rants online about noncoherent conspiracies about his father. He straight up admitted it himself that he didn't have a good relationship with chester and that he hadn't spoken to chester for 6 months prior to his death. He also called chester an abusive father towards him and just straight up painted chester in a bad light. Chester's other son Darvin said Jamie was the problem in there relationship because he was a spolied brat that told chester he "owed him a career". It's not a coincidence that the only ones with negative things to say about linkin park and Chester's wife talinda also happen to be people who chester had a strain relationship with when he was still alive. Which happen to be Chester's mom, his ex wife, his sister and his son Jamie. Jamie is also mad because he's not getting a penny from Chester's estate. He was only awarded 1 property of Chester's, which he sold because he refuses to get a job to support himself. And both were fighting against some real evil things that people are doing and these people don't want people to know the truth. You'd be surprised how much things aren't as they seem. If we view this in another way, look at how many strained relationships Chester had. Not just with family members, but even with his own bandmates. One major example is how so many people assume that Chester wrote all of the lyrics he sang - he absolutely did not. Mike wrote the majority of the lyrics, especially for the early albums. While he did often write WITH Chester, and there are some songs that Chester wrote most or all of the lyrics for, Mike was and is the main driving force behind the band and their sound, especially since he produces (or co-produces) a lot of it.

I think what would have been the honorable thing to do, is Emily sing only on the new songs. And not sing on any of the old songs singing Chester's parts. At least for the beginning of this new band that has been away for so long. I like Emily as a singer. Seems like a decent person, maybe a great person for being born and growing up in LA with a couple of crazy parents. But I don't know how can she do justice to the old songs? When she's sings them, her voice is thin and doesn't carry the song. And it's not her specifically. It would be the same for anyone to try to fill Chester's shoes. You simply cannot do it. Chester is simply not "replaceable" like a drummer. That's why moving forward it's best to just play the new music.

I don’t know but Scientology just literally has damaged the reputation of so many people in the world and it’s sad she believes in it but you can’t fight what people believe in. I think just because what happened with Danny Masterson, the dangers of believing in Scientology has damaged celebrities so bad, it’s ruining their egos or making them quit it. It’s sad about what happened with Danny Masterson, but everyone has regrets about him. I still watch That 70s Show in the past and now currently watch That 90s Show because the show was funny and even though Danny did what he did now, doesn’t mean you don’t support the choices he made and regretted them. I think people need to chill out and realize that it happened, move on, and be done with it. Some people supported him and some people didn’t. It’s the way it is. Just because you supported a person who believes in the same thing you do, doesn’t mean your supporting the choices that person made. Emily chose to support Danny Masterson and it’s the way it is. Doesn’t mean she supports the choices Danny made. Just like Mila and Ashton did. They supported a friend. There’s no shame to support a friend. Even though their friend was a ridiculous person and did the things he did, doesn’t mean they support THAT. Is the world so low that just because you supported a person who is a friend to you makes you think you support the CHOICES that person has made? I loved Danny Masterson but Danny did what he did, he deserved where he is for the actions he has done. But That 70s Show id still watch because it was part of my teenage past. Doesn’t mean oh I supported Danny’s choices. People need to realize that and move on.

I can't support someone who showed up to that trial in force with a group of Scientology bullies, which resulted in the VICTIMS needing protection from Sherrif's Deputies. One of Chesters GOOD friends (Cedric from At The Drive In and Mars Volta) - his wife is a Danny VICTIM and LP chose this person. WOW. What a slap in the face. She has never apologized to the victims for her behavior, acknowledged what she did, and how wrong it was. They put out a PR crisis team apology for the PUBLIC that leaves out a lot. No way Chester would greenlight an SA supporter who helped to make the lives of victims a living hell... to take over his position. Rebrand, rename and move on. To use the fan base to propel this person to fame, and financial gain and "adoration" is sleezy. All for money. She still hangs with Scientology buddies. She's not distanced herself. And the "lyrics" everyone says is about Scientology were all written BEFORE she came on board, so NO, she's NOT singing against the cult. They also DON'T care if a celeb is gay. It's out there - the cult obviously KNOWS. Celebrities are treated WAY better and have special privileges as long as they don't take them on - esp publicly in the press. They haven't declared her through any of this - make of that what you will, draw your own conclusions. Shinoda knew her in 2019 when rumors about Danny were out, police reports were made, and she considered Danny a CLOSE FRIEND. He hadn't been charged yet. Shinoda knew her all through the time Danny was charged, awaiting trial and on trial - and she supported Danny the whole time. This band didn't care about the baggage she brought. Shinoda is the only OG left. Might as well formed a new group. But Shinoda Side Project isn't as lucrative or sexy to a record label as LP 2.0. Something isn't right here. .. I'm not saying this - the victims ARE... and the rest is my humble opinion.

I also think that keeping the name will mean that younger folks discovering the band in their new era will go back and listen to their older catalog and will benefit from hearing and relating to Chester just like a lot of us did when we were young, and that means that Chester's legacy will live on in an even more meaningful way. im going to be that guy here im sorry. i understand he feels entitled because chester was his dad and part of the LP brand but im sure he understood a comeback was possible without his dad. its nothing new and almost every band has gone through a replacement whether its someone walking away or dying. i might not like emily and feel there could have been better options but here we are and what is so disrespectful about it besides her past which there is only speculation and hearsay about and the danny thing she has come clean about. mike has just as much say as the rest of the band because he was part of the band unlike jaime. at this point i dont know what he is on about and he is only making himself look like someone with a few screws lose himself.

She just didn't. She cleared that up, it was only for the arraignment, and she saw everything she needed to see to cut ties altogether. Jaime is being immature. This kid probably has that roof over his head because of the band. Yes, it is a given that his father catapulted the band to success, but he should be fully aware that LP is Mike's band. Xero was Mike's band. They renamed and re-branded themselves after Chester joined. I actually feel for Jaime. He's been shunned by his dad's new family ever since they got together and the bandmates straight up ignore him, the media blasts him. I would be hurting all over if I was Jaime. Missing my father and being misrepresented and misunderstood all the time. Sure he comes off as a bit loony, but who wouldn't? Why automatically shit on him, when we don't even know better. A true fan will never think about replacement but how the band decides to move on while still remembering how they've started. They didn't replace Chester Bennington, and Mike Shinoda didn't play music for money. All I his musics speaks through the listeners souls so damn those trolls! Mike did all he could to support chester during his hard times. Emily proves her worth and what's more prouder is that the fact that what makes them Linkin Park is because of how diversified their thinking and they're market strategy is always spot on. Not all bands can pull what mike shinoda and the rest of the bands have. Well if there's a band at least the Linkin Park are one of the rest that able to continue being amazing. I'm rooting for them.
