Anna Wintour might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but she is a professional. Showed up on time and prepared a speech honoring Naomi and had to leave the event to go to another engagement. As much as I like Naomi’s work, I’m tired of her entitlement, her privilege and her narrative of being a strong black woman who overcame many obstacles to reach her level of success. No girl, you are privileged and entitled! You’re also an ingrate because people like Anna opened the doors for you and you are privileged to still be modeling in your 50s, but with those bad habits of being late and “clapping back”, those doors can be closed on you, just watch!

Her being able to model in her 50s is not a result of privilege, but the impact of the quality of her work in the modelling industry and the name she made for hersels. Being given certain benefits and being treated differently because of the work you did, is not privilege in my view. Calling Naomi privileged is insulting to her work and achievements. She's an absolute b*tch and diva for sure, but I wouldn't call her privileged in the way we call mediocre nepo models privileged.

@@angelaortega1495 Like I said, I love her work as a model. Both her editorial work and her walk on the runway are unmatched. Of course she overcame a lot of obstacles and had to fight hard to reach her level of success. I think at some point she forgot about all that and started acting entitled and privileged. She’s modeling in her 50s because she has access to great supplements, fitness instructors, dieticians, etc… That is privilege. Look at Claudia, Cindy, Linda or Christy, they’re the most humble and professional people and have never been on the news for being late or hitting someone and it’s time we stop giving Naomi a free pass because she’s black, photographs well and has a great walk… her bad behavior over shadows her talent, IMO.

It didn’t say Anna made her. Anna made Naomi the 1st black women to ever be on the September issue of American Vogue. Something that had never been done before and she fought hard for that. It’s the year’s highest selling issue and always features someone big in fashion. So it was a big deal for her to be on there. Anna may not be everyone’s favourite person but she gave Naomi a chance of a lifetime back then so yes in a way she made her career in the United States and gave her many more opportunities. Naomi is a beautiful woman and still is so stunning! Though she really is difficult to work with and that’s just how it is with her and I don’t think she will change 😂
