Jill and Derick Dillard open up to ET's Deidre Behar about life after reality TV and their new memoir, 'Counting the Cost.' Best known as Jill Duggar to fans of '19 Kids and Counting,' the mom of three shares what life looks like following her famous family's scandals over the past few years, explaining the tricky dynamics across her many siblings. The couple also weighs in on a potential return to reality TV, and whether there's plans to expand their family. 'Counting the Cost' is on bookshelves now.

It was great listening to the audiobook version of counting the cost. Jill did such a good job narrating it. It definitely added more emotion to her story.

Part of growing into adulthood is learning to establish healthy boundaries in all our imperfect families. Jill does this with such grace, respect, and humility.

I think not only the power turns him on, but that first kiss is a huge turn-on for him. He has a very sick mind. Something that should be sweet, his mind turns it into... I don't know what... depravity is maybe taking it too far... but his mind is not right.

I’m great full you wrote your book I’m only a quarter way through I’m understanding more but also it’s triggering my past, thing’s I’ve chosen to forget and now I can’t stop thinking about. It’s a hard read for me but I will finish it. I finally understand why Jana doesn’t want to get married until she is sure. I married and stayed in a 30 year abusive marriage because of my religious believes. It only took wishing for death for me to leave. I believed you only get married once, oh well im never planning on getting married again. I could have saved myself and children so much pain if I hadn’t followed the Catholic religion. It’s also the sexual abuse, no adult in my family called the police. It was a family matter. I’m happy you opened up it’s time for open talks to be ok and for children to not shoulder the shame.

Such a lovely person. While reading the book my heart broke for her. At times I wanted to shake her for being so polite, meek and timid but then had to remind myself of the brainwashing she’s been subjected to all her life. Of all the talks of modesty, her own father forcing her to give birth on tv to enrich himself was enraging. So much for protecting your daughter’s “honour”. In my mind that’s a terrible parent who definitely does not have his kids’ interests at heart. I hope she gets free from the mental grip of her upbringing for good.

I would absolutely watch a movie about this....Jill and Jinger has so much to tell. Jill's book is phenomenal....the last part of it.. really shows JB as we all know how he was behind the camera. He doesn't have us fooled.....JB put Jill and Derrick through absolute emotional and mental abuse. He should be called out. And, the money fraud alone should be investigated. She had to get an attorney just to see the contract he fooked her into signing....and that took forever. The Bible clearly states...the hidden will come to light. How could a man professing to be a Christian make 8 million dollars...using his kids to have a show. Because Michelle and him aren't tv worthy. But, then secretly start a company to shelter his money....and not psy his children. What about child labor laws. He claims and brainwashed the kids it was a ministry....how could a dad....hoard money and use control to manipulate his kids. He doesn't qualify to be call a parent. Sickening. Go Jill you deserve a movie and much more. Hope Jingers apart of it too. You both are the only ones to have a backbone to stand up for your family.
