It’s truly unfair. She still calls him her only husband and wears a gold necklace with his name. They remind me so much of my parents. My dad was from England, they were married 35 years, and he died from cancer at age 59. They were soulmates. My mom never even dated after he died. She told me once that she would never want to share a bed again, she would rather have it empty than have someone else in it. I adore David, and I love Iman for keeping him so happy all those years. Most true Bowie fans feel the same way. She still posts about him on her Facebook, she keeps his memory alive. He is forever her husband and that is so beautiful.

He was a Satanist in his early 20s (esoteric occult spirituality), then he got into Buddhism, and he espoused Atheistic sentiments in the late 70s. By the time he met Iman I don't think he cared about religion, and Iman is a heterodox Muslim. Their relationship had nothing to do with religion. Iman believes in God and Bowie didn't care about the subject.

In 1972 or '73, a NYC deejay announced that fans could see Bowie off at the pier just before sailing back to England on the Queen Elizabeth II. A few of us went and were shocked that hardly anyone else was there. I was amazed that we were able to stand around with him and talk, and even more amazed that he was warm, friendly, genuine, and humble. Still can't believe it really happened.

They must've had something pretty special to hear a man say that they are blissfully happy, and it's a fabulous marriage. Rarely do you hear that amongst us every day people, let alone a celebrity couple. They didn't just love each other they were really in love with each other. Looks to be where it began it ended, and they were still so much in love. Lucky they were that the stars aligned, and they found their perfect match at the right time. Sounds like the time they had together was just as sweet as his proposal. He proposed on the River Seine, and was blessed with a River of Love that flowed on their special union. Some just find that special something, we should all be so lucky to find that kind of real and lasting love until death do us part as they did. Dang- he was quite the family man. To say, if he had to choose between career and what he and Iman shared there'd be no choice- just melts my heart.
