First time my ex-husband raised his hand to me was when we visited his country, Morocco. The last time my ex-husband raised his hand to me was when we visited his country, Morocco. This happens cause mothers pamper their boys too much. İm Turkish, aint no way my brothers get to smack a woman. My father would shoot the hand he used. He has daughters himself, but its more of an honour thing to him. Whomever is in his care or companion will be protected by the men of the family. No woman gets harrassed by my brothers. And tjey never crossed the line with any female we used to hang with, as in flirting with em etc. Im glad you left him. Unfortanetly, the deeper you go to the east the more u will have to adapt to their culture.. they dont know better.

I had an ex like that. He'd follow me, get in my way, back me into a corner and grab onto me (sometimes so tightly it left bruises) in arguments, so I couldn't leave. After awhile I'd get so frustrated I'd start hyperventilating or lose it and push him away from me - at which point he'd turn it round on me and call me abusive. People like him seriously are dangerous and she needs to watch out.

I see a lot of comments saying that single is the way to live and using these clips as evidence. These are very extreme circumstances. I've been married for nearly 10 years - after being single a few years post grad school. You can find a partner, just make certain they are emotionally stable and respect your boundaries. It is nice to have support as loved ones/parents grow older or pass away...It is fun to have a partner or friends on this very short journey called life... I have a singe Mom and a BFF that is single by choice because she is always working, traveling, and scuba diving, she isn't single because of toxic examples around her or on TV-her life is just genuinely fulfilling... Stay positive and follow your heart, please don't let the crazy antics on TLC color your idea of marriage/companionship. I grew up around DV and still stayed positive. Have a good one...
@Mojosfire
@Mojosfire Жыл бұрын
@@ammcd2012 Oh, I agree with what you're saying and TLC loves to pick the worst of the worst and mostly script these fights. Actually, I'm not single, I'm married to a good guy, I was just meaning if I had been in a relationship as bad as some of these couples, I'd rather be single at least until someone much better came along. 😀

I forget that Nicole is damn near 40 acting like she is in her early 20s. He is bad at communicating, but she took her behind to a foreign country, converted to a religion she didn't take the time to learn about first, still want to live as a westerner..His family is not that conservative if his mother was able to divorce his father, but other than that the family is traditional. Her sister in law fell right in line. We can't go to different places and not do our homework...what seems to have happened is that they were in lust and not love. I can at least respect Debbie's guy for realizing that social media is not real life and that they need to know each other in person for a while...something nicole and Mahmoud missed and no amount of times 'I love you' is said that it will cover up the fact that they don't need to be together..She clearly wants to go home because she gets upset quick unless there's a lot the producers and editors are not showing us...when production books their flight she needs to book hers as well.

As an egyptian woman, I know that look Mahmoud gave when she asked if she should wear something underneath her birkini. It's a look of embarrassment because these things aren't talked about. Lets be serious. He doesn't know if she should wear something underneath. In the culture, this is a conversation she should have had with his mother. He is a grown little boy that lived in his mothers house all his life, because that's what they do. He has no ability to lead a woman but is trying to figure it out on the way.

Everytime I see Nicole and Mahmoud fight, I just get more and more annoyed that they’re even together 🤦🏽‍♀️ I just don’t understand why Nicole gave up everything to move back to Egypt and make things work with him when she knew full 👏🏾well 👏🏾 what his expectations were (that she’d cover herself, that she’d be a devout Muslim woman, that she’s where a hijab-why does she call it heegab by the way?). Why does she look paralyzed when he vocalizes the same expectations that he had before that caused her to move back to the US the first time?? Mahmoud saying “an Egyptian woman would never do that” made me scream, “then go find a conservative Egyptian woman!!!” at the screen. Somehow you are right. But Mohamed admitted that perhaps he couldn't be able to face so many changes in his life if he were the one to be asked to make so many changes in life. I think that the "best" would be trying to save their love living in the zones of the city where expats live. She would feel more international, and perhaps he would feel more calm when all the people around are western people, so nothing to criticize if there is a western woman living a little bit more western way.

I have to comment about Debbie first. Loving the peacock fan! She's truly the epitome of a southern belle. I come from a long line of southern belles. I know her son is concerned about her but I believe Debbie can handle herself just fine. As for Nicole and Mahmoud their relationship isn't going well at all. He's inexperienced when it comes to women and Nicole has chosen to marry into a culture and religion she obviously knew nothing about. The arguing in public is definitely a no no in Egypt. However I did think the birkini was cute. Nicole has a fashion sense and pizzazz so she just needs to incorporate her individuality while rocking the hijab. Great content Melicia 😁
