Weddings are supposed to be a joyful celebration of love, but sometimes the planning process can turn into a nightmare. In this video, we explore the phenomenon of entitled bridezillas - brides-to-be who become obsessed with having the perfect wedding and demand special treatment from everyone around them.
We'll share real-life stories of entitled bridezillas and the outrageous demands they made on their family, friends, and wedding vendors. From insisting on a specific brand of champagne to banning guests from wearing certain colors, these bridezillas took their wedding planning to the extreme.
But why do some brides become entitled bridezillas? We'll delve into the psychology behind this behavior, including the pressure to conform to societal expectations, the desire to control every aspect of the wedding, and the fear of disappointing others.
Finally, we'll discuss some strategies for dealing with entitled bridezillas - whether you're the bride herself, a member of the bridal party, or a wedding vendor. We'll offer tips on setting boundaries, communicating effectively, and keeping perspective during the wedding planning process.
If you've ever witnessed a bridezilla in action or want to avoid becoming one yourself, this video is for you. Join us as we explore the dark side of wedding planning and learn how to navigate it with grace and humor. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more videos like this!

Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

i kinda hope the BF kept the video for his portfolio but did not give a copy to the bride and groom. it's not like they paid for it anyway. there was an "understanding" between the bride and the chocolatier friend that she could bring her BF and he would film the wedding, and in return, the two of them would be seated in the same room as the guests since they themselves were supposed to be guests. chocolatier and videographer did not get guest seating, therefore the bride and groom should not get their video (or the table full of sweets but i assume the friend still brought that out in an effort to uphold her side of the deal).

The story about the bridesmaid, "Hayley" being late because she went to see her late husband's grave hits home deeply for me. I lost my wife in January 2021. It's been 2.5+ years since I lost her, but you may trust me when I tell you that grief is a taskmaster. Even after this long, I have moments and even days when grief strikes like a fist in the mouth. You cry, whether you want to or not. The pain is visceral and very real. It tempers how you look at every part of your life, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot.

I'm really sorry to hear that. That kind of pain is one my biggest fears, losing a loved one. I hope you can find some joy in the fact that you found true love, something that many people don't get to experience for a single day of their lives. Stay focused on the gratitude over grief as best you can. The super sad reality is that we all will lose our loved ones or they will lose us first, depending on the order of death that no one ever knows is coming. That's why we must give extreme thanks for each day and the lovely experiences we get to collect along the way.

I'm so sorry for your loss! It will be 15 years November 20th since I lost my husband to suicide. I still have my bad days, even though I am in another relationship. Story #2: The "friend" straight up used her! I would have found a couple of extra chairs and made room! There is no way I would have stayed in another room and cried while waiting to finish my job as her dessert caterer. I would have gone up to the bride and said "We need to fix something fast or I leave now with my boyfriend!" I guarantee seats would have been found! Story #3: Groom needs to run! Notice she mentions that she is estranged from her family. Now she's saying members of his family don't like her. Who is the common denominator? Instead of trying to make amends on a special day, she wants to deepen the divide! She is the problem!!!
@cristela4034

Yeah, the friend treated her as an employee, that's why she put her with the vendors and didn't even remember to count her to the reception. It's not a mistake of the day, all the seats are counted and paid, if she didn't have a seat then the bride didn't pay for it. Edit to correct a tiny grammar error cause some youtube users get really upset by those for some reason, and yet I keep seeing "you're" and "your" being used wrong (now that is a annoying mistake).

Agree 100%! The chocolatier and her videographer boyfriend were far kinder than the bride deserved. I would send her bills for the FULL costs of the services. I was a professional baker/cake decorator. I did my friend's cake at a discounted rate (two tier for 80-100 people with a small grooms) for 170. I made a small profit, but I was also a bridesmaid and she was so grateful and excited. I was seated at the head table (with the other important wedding party) and thanked the whole night. If I had made something had a discounted rate and then didn't even have a fucking seat??? Then that wasn't a gift. You owe me more money. This was basically an exchange of I attend, you get discount. But she didn't even get to attend. Get. That. Money, your boyfriend too

DAMN STRAIGHT! I don’t know why I didn’t even think about it from that perspective but, yeah. Technically speaking she was “in breach” of a verbal agreement. The girl was invited and (just like someone attending) she offered a gift that was equivalent (or more in this case MUCH MORE) than the cost the couple incurs for your seat. Considering her work would have likely covered the cost of two seats(her & bf’s) and then some…I’d do up 2 Standard Bills…1 for the sweets table, etc. and then 1 for the standard rate for a wedding photographer (with similar skills to the bf’s). Send them to the couple (or if someone else paid for the wedding then send it to them) certified mail along with a letter stating the services were offered ONLY because you were an invited guest and the same applied for the photographer. Since once the services were completed, it became clear that you were NOT, in fact, an invited guest. That you were listed and identified to the Event Coordinator as a vender, and that you COMPLETED your part of the deal. Even after the debacle, the sweets table was a success and the wedding video was completed. Point out the standard rate for services rendered and request for payment upon receipt as it has been ___months since the wedding. I also would specify that the, proofs and wedding album that was agreed on will be delivered AFTER Full payment. Document it all and take that sneaky b..ch to court if she don’t pay.

Originally, bride said the bf couldn't come because of budget. All of a sudden the bf is invited and is conveniently a videographer/photographer. He gives his services for free to increase his portfolio. The friend puts together a dessert table for a discounted friend price. The bride knew what she was doing. Sounds like she used her friend and her friend's bf to get free and discounted services, and the fact that she didn't remedy her being seated in the reception shows how much she cares about the friend.

As a widow, that last one hit hard. She went to see her late husband's grave. If it hadn't been that long, seeing it again would have made the grief fresh. The bride definitely shouldn’t have snarkily told her that she didn’t want her running off again, that was uncalled for, but I do agree that it wasn’t the appropriate time to visit the cemetery. I think the better option would have been to stay an extra day and mourn. It just feels weird to visit in the middle of activities. As much as the bride should’ve been empathetic to the bridesmaid, the bridesmaid should’ve thought of how everyone else would feel. My issue is with visiting in the middle of activities knowing how you’re probably going to feel afterwards and still making that choice.

Not even a bridesmaid, just a regular guest and still didn't go with bright colored hair to a wedding. The second I knew I was invited, I let my color fade and went blonde for a bit. Bright colors just ain't it, especially for bridesmaid, unless the couple specifically sais they don't mind. My cousin was a total bridezilla-to-be...she was super chill until she became engaged and then all hell broke loose. Costs started ratcheting up, her attitude started ratcheting up, the drama ratcheted up. And then everything became me me me, this is MY day. To even unreasonable bridezilla lengths. Her fiance is this amazing dude, we all love him and he's perfect for her in the sense that he knows how to squash the drama-queen in her quickly. He sat her down and told her that she'd become intolerable, gave her all of the examples and proof and said he still loved her and wanted to spend his life with her and have kids with her. But, she'd blown her shot at a wedding. She could keep the rings, they'd go on the honeymoon, but there would be no actual ceremony/dinner/reception. (This was all prior to invites going out, so not a catastrophe). She blew up like the she-hulk! He stood his ground and refused, there would be no wedding and it was 100% because of her behaviour. She pulled every crying-tantrum trick she could and he would not have it. He said the alternative is, he leaves her and breaks his own heart but that he wouldn't reward her horrible actions by giving into what she wants. They've been together 11 years now and are so happy and such a "goals" couple. I think she just needed to be checked maybe? Either way, he offered to have a massive ceremony on their 10 year anniversary....she asked if they could take a kick ass expensive vacation instead and invite a few friends just to party. Everything worked out, but her friends are still saying she should've left him. I'm guessing he gave their boyfriends ideas they didn't like maybe.

Yeah, this is so weird to me. Wedding photos aren't about being perfect in every conceivable way, it's about remembering a day that is important and remembering the friends who were there for you. These people have clearly lost the point of having a wedding celebration.

I both agree and disagree. I'm old fashioned, and was taught about common courtesy to ask ahead of time if they'd be ok with drastic changes to your look (if you're in the wedding party). You're in their pictures forever, and they are paying for them and hanging them in their home, so in my opinion it's only fair to do the best you can to look the way they visioned (respectfully. I enjoyed the music, sat off to one side at the club, had my eyes on the band most of the time, chatted with the occasional dancer friend who joined me for a drink & a break, and didn't (could not) dance for at least 12 months due to how the surgery impacted my foot. Apparently the fact that I was at the club but not dancing was making her feel bad and she thought I should just stay home so she wouldn't feel bummed out by my crutches and lack of participation. Vendor story - can highly recommend what my husband and I did so that you don’t forget to feed your vendors (side note ALWAYS make sure to tell your vendors they have food too!). When my husband and I got to the reception venue, we did the entrance and went around the room to greet guests as food was being brought out - it was a couple different buffet style tables in different areas of the room (so there wasn’t just one giant long line) My husband and I eventually made our plates and went to a separate, closed off room to enjoy our dinners on our own and get a chance to breathe. Our photographer and wedding coordinator also joined as well once they got their plates. It was honestly a ton of fun to just have 20-30 minutes to talk with my new husband about what his side of the day was like and vice versa as well as just casually talk with our vendors (who were also family friends) 😊 Whatever the case though - HIGHLY recommend taking time to go off and eat dinner on your own. It literally didn't hit me until I was sitting at the main table during the reception that I would never have a father/daughter dance. I am sure that girl didn't realize at the time that visiting her husband's grave would effect her, and at least she still showed up. I immediately wanted to leave the room and be anywhere else, but I stuck it out because obviously that was not my moment, but I know the bride would have been completely understanding if I had left. (Also it would have been one of the least dramatic things that happened, as another bridesmaid fainted halfway through the ceremony.) Long story short, some of these brides need a reality check.

My middle cousin was the first to get married in my generation of the family. While I have never wanted a wedding myself I still felt that sense of loss during the wedding and took time to myself here and there to just feel and process everything. My dad had died a few years before but he was never the one I wanted to walk me down the aisle, I wanted my grandpa who died when I was 13 to walk me down the aisle. Death and disability are similar in the fact that it is an ongoing grieving process and sometimes we are caught off guard by the realization that we will never be able to do or experience certain things.

I understand that the bride was upset about her being late but she still shouldn't have said that. Sad thing is friend was probably thinking about her and her bachelorette too, she was probably so distraught that she didn't pick up the phone so they don't have to worry about her and focus on the dinner instead, besides she let her know that she was gonna be late it wasn't like she went straight up no show on her. Bride is definitely the A hole in this situation. Also, personal opinion but I wouldn't have made my friend who was widowed my bridesmaid. I would still want her in my wedding but not as my bridesmaid because I don't want to open old wounds that probably hasn't truly healed yet by making her walk down the aisle and watch me get married front row. She doesn't need me drudging up old memories by having her be there for the preparations, but that's just me.

In the gypsy traveller community, it's normal to visit the graves of close family to put flowers etc over the days before the wedding, the bride often even goes to pay her respects and put flowers (sometimes even her bouquet) at the graves of her mother, grandmother (whoever she was closest and dearest with) on the wedding day itself, it's very important

For the chocolatier I’ve worked a lot of weddings for catering. There is almost always extra chairs in the venue and could be added to a table. On too of that most event coordinators don’t eat or sit with the guest. They monitor and keep track of the receptions time and activities happening. They will usually be running back and forward through majority of the reception keeping everything on time. Also tables and seating are triple checked by not only event staff but the catering staff too, so that’s super hard to miss. Nah, the purposefully left her out.

See, the thing that one bride doesn't understand about her cousin is that while she's happy partying, her cousin is thinking about how close she is to the grave. While she's happy and smiling, her cousin is thinking about how she'll never see her husband smile again or laugh or be able to do anything. Hayley can't just put those memories and feelings aside because it's overwhelming. I couldn't imagine being selfish enough to not understand that.

She could have stayed one day longer and spend it visiting her husband´s grave though... not doing it during OP´s special event. I would do it that way. Then instead of explaining OP, why she did it and being late, she GHOSTED HER. This looks even more selfish on her side. Cause OP did not mind her to visit the grave, just asked her to be back on time. To which she agreed, but ended up not doing. Grieving is painful, but if you have empathy, you know that you can put your grief aside for a moment, for somebody you care, for somebody who is alive there and who thinks that you are worthy to be part of important life events.

@@Julienna Do you know her personal circumstances? The grave was far enough to need to fly over there. That alone implies money for the flight home and the hotel room. What if she doesn't have the money for that? What if she had to work next day? People have a life, other things to do, and sometimes, those things cannot be posponed. How many people do you know whose boss would leave them take a day? What if she has children and the person looking for them can't do it a day more? Think. People have a life to do more things than just partying. The bride should have been empathetic. Not only was her friend, but her cousin. And she didn't "ghosted" her. She went to the dinner, a little late, but went. She texted her she would be late and composed herself to not be crying at dinner. If she would have been on time but being a wreck, I'm sure BRIDEZILLA would have a meltdown because "HOW DARE YOU TO HAVE FEELINGS ON MY BACHELORETTE PARTY!" If BRIDEZILLA was a little empathetic, just a little, then she wouldn't be offended that her bridesmaid, bestfriend and cousin couldn't make it on time giving the circumstances. @@Julienna This wasn't one event, this was a bachelorette trip that took days. That was already a lot to ask for. You can't micromanage someone's life for multiple days just because you're on a bachelorette trip. The cousin wanted a few hours alone to grieve in private, and arrived late to one dinner. It wasn't some huge important event like the reception. Maybe she couldn't afford to stay one more day or couldn't get more days off. We don't know, but it's too late for that. The bride should've just let it go after the fact. The way she titled it "Did her own thing" says a lot. It not like the cousin broke down over a break up or went to see an ex. She was crying over the death of her late husband. "Put grief aside" is not how that works. I encourage you to do some research on how loss affects the brain. Guests are going through life events of their own, not only experiencing the bride's life events. So maybe some people have the privilege of pausing their lives and setting aside their human needs for an few hours. But the more events you squeeze into a wedding, the more you have to lower your expectations. Guests aren't paid background actors in a production. I'd agree more if the cousin had made a scene at the actual ceremony.

Youth has a glow, a beauty that grandmothers don't even try to compete with. And your evidence is.... she forcibly kept you from wearing one of 19 colors clothing? No pink socks even? That is downright abusive! It could not possibly be that this woman, who was probably about my age, grew up hearing and believing and reading in contemporaneous novels that wearing pink made redheads look ugly. Waiting an hour after eating before swimming also turns out NOT to be necessary, but we all DID it because we were told it was a FACT or we would cramp up and drown. You also don't have to shampoo-rinse-and-repeat all over, again but we did, because we were told it was necessary,. Your grandmother was looking out for you, not sabotaging you, with the facts we were given at the time. That poor "jealous", "competing" grandmother, just loving you and trying to help with the information we were all told, only to be judged through a prism of small-minded egotism. Let's pretend for a sec that back in her and my day, the "pink makes redheads ugly" wasn't a thing - was she was insane enough to try and compete with a person at least 40 years her junior? And do you seriously think advising you to not wear just one color is giving her a great competitive edge over her lovely young granddaughter? I apologize if she had non-disclosed mental health issues that would explain your comment that she was jealous and competitive with you, otherwise it just seems bonkers.

I think everyone looks good in pink! But then redheads look great in just about any color. I bet Charlotte would look stunning in a vintage pink Chanel suit similar to what Jackie Kennedy wore. Sad that such an elegant, iconic outfit is a reminder of great tragedy. I sew, and made a similar suit in the 80s, but made it of turquoise linen with pink satin trim just so it was different My dad was a handsome, dark haired man who resembled Gregory Peck, and he often wore pale pink shirts because Momma basically told him he looked sexy in that color. No one told him it was feminine, but he wouldn't have cared anyway. Momma said it was sexy, so there! About the only colors I don't wear are yellow and orange because they don't look good on me. However, most black and middle Eastern women look gorgeous in those colors.

My mom thinks the same thing (she is a redhead herself), and hated herself in pink. Not sure where she got the idea from though. My thought is that red and pink are literally the colours of Valentine's Day. If it was such a bad combination, why associate them with a holiday that is known throughout the world? Doesn't make sense.

One of my besties was a bridesmaid and she had a blue streak in her hair, right in front. She offered to dye it back to her natural auburn. I said absolutely not!!! I love my friend and her fun hair was a part of her playful personality. Now, years later, my kids and I love looking at our wedding pics. 🎉

Just love your channel ! My dogs used to act crazy and bad when I left them alone watching Dog tv while at work . I decided to put your show on for them to see if that would help their loneliness throughout the day . I got home on day one and not a garbage can was turned over or a pee to be seen . Now, everyday I go to work I put your channel on . They love you ! Thanks for keeping my fur babies company . You def have 2 new furry fans ☺️ and a human one .although I’ve watched you from the beginning ☺️

As a widow I never know what will just put me in a bad place in my continuous grief. I totally agree the wedding and visiting her late husband she needed some alone time. It's something that people don't always understand because grief is so personal to everyone. I tend to pull away and want to be alone until I collect myself a friend who is also a widow will go out to be with people to just take her mind off her feelings. The bride was the asshole.

I can't imagine getting married and expecting anyone but myself and my husband to take it so seriously that it becomes the center of the universe. People are so self absorbed it's disgusting.

Love how the 6:00 was scatterbrained for the wedding arrangement, but apparently quite there when it came to benefit from her friend's job.
