Story 1: The guy who told Kevin where the office was was just a blessing in disguise. Had he not done that, the investigation would have taken longer, and may have not been banned but would have been on thin ice.

1st Story: Yup, Heather, Mrs. Karen, and Mr. Kevin are the jerks. 2nd Story: The OP's girlfriend has proven to be honest, remorseful, and ready to make things work. There's no jerk in this story, just a mistake made in a relationship that can be moved past. Best of luck to The OP and their girlfriend.problems! 3rd Story: I feel bad for The OP, he seems to be struggling. I think he should reach out to an aunt or uncle and tell them what's going on. 4th Story: The OP's boyfriend needs to help around the house, and set some clear boundaries with him.

Wrong on story 2. The gf lied and hid the nature of these meetings. She did not tell OP of this friend until he learned the nature of it. If OP does not leave he deserves all the drama he gets.
@DanielGonzalez-qk6sd Жыл бұрын
Story 4: not enough details. OP did not mention the number of hours, type of job, or payment arrangement. Yes, OP mentioned bills are split 50/50 but if there are four bills total and they only need to pay two each that is still 50/50 in an amount not cost volume. There really is no way to determine the jerk of the story without these details.

Story 3 is almost similar to story about my grandfather, My grandpa was the son of a preacher and he wanted him to come a preacher too but my grandpa wanted to be a doctor. So from the age of 14 he started working and earn money to go ro medical school, there he met his wife and saw how badly some people north of my city needed help; so when he graduated his parents (now support of 🙄) wanted to send him to Europe or somewhere to be specified, but he decided to move north and help the people in need there. He worked out there for 40 years, started a hospital in a small town. He definitely left behind a legacy

Final story makes my blood boil. She is literally cleaning up after him like he were a child WHILE PAYING HER HALF OF THE BILLS. I still wouldn’t be ok with him doing nothing if she wasn’t contributing financially, but it’s infuriating that she’s being expected to take care of everything just because HE is choosing a physically demanding job.

Last story. As i do understand her frustration - a physical job is demanding on your body. All of my jobs were that way and by the time you get home it's hard to even keep your eyes open. Now that I'm disabled and home - my fiancee is working a job that i had to quit - so i ask him to do nothing but stay awake long enough to eat and go to bed so i don't have to wake him off the couch. Yes i cook meals - do what cleaning (includes dishes by hand) i can and drive him back and forth to work which is about 40 mins away (he needs eye surgery and i won't let him behind the wheel until he does). There's no fighting, complaining, etc. If she has a man working that hard and comes home everyday - she should be happy. There's a lot of women out there that would be jealous (just won't admit it) of what she has!

1st story the girl knew the rules and still decided not to do her job and after getting fired the mother turned into a monster. I'd have her arrested for the assault and I would immediately revoked the membership. It's sad that they couldn't see what they did wrong and probably never will. 2) she was looking for another guy and just didn't want to tell you if she's invited him and his friends over you. Then you need to get rid of all of them

So, story 3 is just an asian kid? Doctor or lawyer are your only options man, that's the way it's always been. If you question it that just means dad is either going whip out the slipper or tell you that he had to walk to school when he was a kid, uphill, both ways, for 20 miles, in 6ft of snow, on one foot, other foot was starting a business. Also, you're 19, when your dad was that age he was 27. Plus, let's not forget your cousin Timmy. He graduated from college with a doctorate when he was 8 years old, plays 12 instruments, speaks 30 languages, and runs an international multi-trillion-dollar corporation.

@karinagutierrez7134 Жыл бұрын
I could be misinterpreting your comment but it sounds like you’re saying that it’s ok that she does basically all of the household work on top of her desk job because he does manual labor. Which would imply that any mental/emotional strain she gets from work doesn’t matter since he’s choosing to work in a physically demanding role. And because he chose that job, it is somehow now her job to mother him and literally clean up after him like he was a child.

Damn, this is hitting hard. Way too close to home here, folks. However, it's not because I can relate to the MC as a fellow older sibling. I just feel bad because my like brother felt like the MC did on numerous occassions in regard to how our parents treated me in comparison to him. He always said I was their favorite (My mom still calls me her 'special baby' to this day...ugh.), while he was borderline neglected with just the bare minimum of unconditional love. I wish I didn't just verbally acknowledge his cries for love and acceptance, especially when it came to our mother. Now it seems my brother turned the tables on both of them as an adult, and very rarely visits them so they can see their grandaughter. While I'm always welcome in his home, my mom wasn't even given his address. Me on the other hand got suffocated by both parents' overprotective nature towards everything I did and thought. It got to a point where I had my own problems in building meaningful relationships due to lack of interest for the emotions I'd get from such relationships. Took me a long time to build a healthy social circle of friends as well as a love interest. It's really sad how the most unintentional behaviors that parents show their children can lead to results like this, but I'm glad it wasn't bad to a point where there'd be tragedy due to the severe dysfunction of what can be found in even more suffocating and intense households like mine...thank God for that.

Story 1: Well, no wonder Heather was fired, can't argue with that at all. It's one thing to serve family and give them extra attention, but her drinking on shift is totally unacceptable, along with her attitude. As for Mrs. Karen and Mr. Kevin, they both were major jerks and absolutely deserved to have their memberships revoked and banned from that place. Just because you are a member, doesnt mean you own the place and definitely doesnt give you a right to treat people like that. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Story 2: This is a tricky one, as i have almost zero tolerance for any kind of cheating, but it doesnt look like anything physical came of it and it couldve been harmless texting and whatnot, since it sounds like she networks a bit. However, purposely excluding you from night-outs and all that, and including that other guy is extremely sketchy. If you want to continue a relationship with her, then be very cautious, because this could happen again if she ever feels distant. Story 3: The OP's parents just flat out suck. They clearly have the "you owe us for your existance" attitude, and it shows especially with them not giving him his own money that he worked for and saying that they hope he takes care of them. I wouldve set up my own account the moment i started working. If hes paying his way into college, then they have no right to say what he can and cant take. The OP should be doing everything he can to get away from his parents and go low to no contact with them. Story 4: The bf here is just lazy. Plain and simple. Pulling the "I work all day" card doesn't work here, especially if the OP does labour jobs as well. If i were the OP, i'd have some serious talks with him about all of that, and maybe, just to be spiteful, stop doing certain housechores and let them pile up. Also, i wouldn't be expecting him to "put a ring on it" anytime soon, and reject it if he does, since things like that could get worse if that happens.
@raybonilla1506 Жыл бұрын
the last story has multiple solutions but one BIG question. Is he paying all of the bills and providing for the OP financially? if so, then he is sacrificing some of his income so OP doesn't have to work(I'm inferring this as OP says they've worked meaning past tense and not currently working). I have always thought that if one works and pays all the bills and covers all the finances, then the other should take care of most of the daily upkeep regardless if "they put a ring on it" or not. The best solution is to sit down and try to come to an agreement on household chores/upkeep that both parties find fair.
@karinagutierrez7134 Жыл бұрын
It says at 18:50 that they split bills 50/50 so OP is contributing. I agree that they do just need to talk things through, maybe come to a comprise of “you can relax for x time without doing anything but I need you to do abc before going to sleep.” She’s not his maid and it’s unfair that he’s treating her like one.

It's alright to have a little more knowledge outside of your goal as well. Hell tech is still on demand even after so many companies layoff so many workers. Also, find a way to get as far away from them as possible in physically, emotionally, mentally and fanatical forms.

Soon as you have an active bank account for yourself, go back through your paychecks to figure how much they owe you, and tell them they have 48 hours to transfer the money themselves before you drag them to the bank to force them to. Also, let your job know so they can direct future checks to the new account. Your parents are such assholes.
