There's somebody that I know-her parents consistently lied to her about what brand they were giving her, because they wanted her to believe that they were rich when they were fraudsters, who were in fact, not rich. So her parents were the ones that were faking all of this well, but she grew up in it so she was just believed it

"Why does it matter if it's fake or not?" It matters when you say it is real when it's not. It's lying and if it really didn't matter, why buy the fake just to say it is real or pretend it is real? Obviously, that one brand name matters enough for you to want to buy a fake and flaunt it around as if it was real. You know what I do when I can't afford it or don't care for it? I don't buy it, no ands, ifs, or buts. There are brands out there far better than LV, Gucci, Chanel, and Hermes that we average folks probably don't even know exists because these brands are so lowkey that if someone didn't tell you what it was, you'd think it was from H&M

The comment about how if a person has a truly expensive “luxury” thing they would treat it with care is SO real. Like, I grew up in a family that are well of (not like millionaires or something, but we do live in a very good flat and my father makes enough money for tech items and luxury clothing to be something we can get, as a birthday gift or something) in comparison to the majority. And I am always very cognizant of the fact, and appreciative. And I would NEVER treat something I got as a gift like this. Like. I have godawful vision, and needed a change of glasses (the previous pair was with me for 3+ years). And the desigh I liked is Balenciaga, so, they are very expensive. Plus, the actual optics I need are expensive too, I have a complicated vision situation (astigmatism, very low vision, etc). So, this whole thing is EXPENSIVE. And to think I would not treat these glasses with care is ridiculous to me. Your money your business, but I hate people that are not appreciative for what they have.

What’s crazy is that they do look wealthy, like they could spend a few thousand on their presents, but all of this stuff only adds up to like $500 because prices for the quality of fakes those were are not that high. That being said, in the south it’s common for wealthy people to get both fake and real items it’s just usually better quality and not stuff you would find on those sites. Usually they pay smaller leather workers or people like that to recreate the originals.

Same. I like watching these videos about influencers, but I can't imagine actually watching the influencers.

That was a great video! I actually heard about that situation by another drama channel, which I only follow loosely. But I did not really get it, especially since I've never heard of the websites The RealReal nor DH Gate. With all the background information you gave, I fully understood the situation! Thanks😊❤ (not that it is life changing for me, but it was kinda frustrating not getting it😅)

This is possibly just me, but 90% of my vintage Gucci looks UNTOUCHED! The other 10% looks like I rolled down a big hill & got myself stuck in a holly bush. I have been selling a load of bags on a super cute site called PreLoved in Hampshire. They don’t sell shoes though, so any typical UK size 3 message me! Be warned they are all size 35 EU / 2 UK as designers typically come up too big.

Have I heard this 100 times? Yes. Do I still want to hear Angelika tell me it again anyway? 100%

It definitely looks like the family is "Keeping up with the Jones's". I need to look like I have money to "flex" on other people. At least to me. ETA: I'm sorry to hear that you have been not having a great start the new year, I feel ya. I'm ready to make my toaster into a bath bomb! I hope it gets better for you!! Sending positive thoughts your way!!

They absolutely are not made by the same company or in the same factories. High end do not make fakes. Birkin is hand made and the artisan deserves the credit.
