I can completely relate to the story about the cousin whose birthday was almost ruined. When I was turning 10, my mom and stepdad set up a birthday party for me and I invited some of my supposed best friends. The party was for 1 pm and I sat outside my house patiently for *hours* for my friends to come. 7 pm rolls around and not a single person showed up. The next day I get basically avoided like the plague by my supposed best friends and when I finally get one of them to talk to me, they all ganged up and admitted that they didn't come because their parents didn't want them being friends with a 'poor' kid in a 'slummy' neighborhood...I lived in a townhouse in a nice-ish part of town... You absolutely did not mess up, I know I would have loved if one of my family members took me somewhere fun on that depressing day...

@@viviennemorgan7217 I've had pretty bad luck when it comes to picking best friends into my teen years. People I thought were my best friend when I was 16/17 turned on me because a girl they barely knew told them lies I said about her being a bad mother (she got pregnant at 16). Honestly the only thing I said about her being pregnant was that I wondered if she'd need help since being a teen mom sounded tough, especially with the tale she spun about her mom disowning her and throwing her out (ended up being a pity lie to get attention). So from that point on, I stopped having 'best friends' and just stuck with friends. If they left me for any reason, I just didn't care because they were another person I thought liked me as a person. Though it's definitely caused me even more trust issues over the years...I've just got a few friends online and that's about it.

Story 1: I am a Catholic, but I am paranoid of the church because I know anyone can be the entitled pastor and would use the word of God in their defense. Personally, I simply act on the golden rule to treat others how I wish to be treated. I really don't need much spiritual enlightening from the church

As a norse pagan I believe that blind faith in people because of their church views it can end up poorly as human nature is towards chaos. We are as it is a chaotic creation we are Unpredictable Ever since we gained knowledge, that's the reason I believe organized religion that is is not of your own volition is only a corrupt system. However, to each their own belief and I respect your faith in your god.

That is literally the best cousin and nicest teen I've heard of. Most of the teens I grew up around wouldn't have wanted a 7-year-old tagging along even if they did feel bad for the kid. I can imagine how crushed he was and his cousin not only took his mind off the failed party, but gave him a great experience he can brag about because he got to hang out with the older kids and have fun. What the actual hell is wrong with the adults in this situation.

OP with financially sus fiance--hold off that wedding. Tell him he must be honest. Ask him to get help with his paranoia. Even very smart abd together people can suffer mental health issues. It also sounds like he might have gotten himself into money trouble you do not want to have to share.

That's not even a conspiracy theory. It's legit. There are elite that control the global banking system. It's just centralized banks. The federal reseve is the US central bank, but it's really not even part of the government. It's pretty easy to find this information. How do you think the centralized banking system works? I can relate to the one about the cousin. Around 2 years in a row (Kindergarten and 1st grade) I had birthday parties and no one came. I invited my whole class both times and it was in a relatively close part of town that everyone knew where it was bcuz it was literally right down the street from the school, literally in view. It was a public park. And so I waited and waited and no one showed up and I was really bummed. Then in 1st grade the same thing happened, same place. Luckily, that one was a bit better because there were a couple older kids that hung out with me (aside from my siblings ofc) and joined us for cake and stuff. In 2nd grade we did smth different. We had a party at the local skating rink. But guess what? Someone in my class had the same birthday and invited people to her party which was at the same place (that was rlly weird- same bday, same party place). And her uncle owned the rink so they had like a way better party and her bday was announced on the speakers and everything. Everyone came, but they hung out mostly with her and in her "party room" (where they had cake and snacks and stuff) even my best friends at the time. Luckily, it was close to the end of the year and I moved that summer. But THEN. in my new school (3rd grade) I once again invited everyone to my house for my bday party. And not even my best friend came. There was one person who came. In 4th grade I had pretty much given up. I just hung out with my family. In fifth I think I had my best friend for a sleepover and that was it. 6th my family only I think. And this year I had a sleepover with 2 of my best friends and went to an escape room that day. And the worst part is people barely could ever provide an explanation when I asked why they didn't come that day. Like people had RSVP and everything, then didn't show up. Streak of bad luck 🙃👍
