One lesson I’ve learned this year is to not forget about yourself. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in trying to become successful, make money and forming a great business that we forget about self care. Your business can’t be ok if you aren’t. I ran into a deep depression from being overwhelmed with no self care but this year will be different 🙏🏾 Thanks Erin for your tips this entire year and motivation ❤️

I've learned the importance of setting business boundaries. I had no discipline. Everyone had access to me all times if the day. I had to learn how to set work hours and stick to them! Sometimes we're working all around the clock which doesnt allow time for mental rest. Everything I learned last year has positioned me to be a better business owner and individual this year. 💪🏾

The biggest lesson I learned is how to balance my personal life and business. Sometimes I get so caught up on the business, I miss quality time to spend with loved ones. One action step I'm taking is by creating a time scheduled of when my work day is complete.

1. Be adaptable 2. Have Tough Skin 3. Set Boundaries 4. Document Everything 5. Get Help 6. Follow Up 7. Negotiating 8. Small Impact First 9. Be Diligent with your money 10. Over delivering 11. Top 3 Priorities With these tips I’ve learned the importance of getting help when necessary because my attitude when starting my journey as entrepreneur the more I know how to do myself the more marketable and valuable it will make me. I realize sometimes your business can get to the next level a lot faster if you ask for help or hire someone whose stronger in the areas your not. Also I’ve learned to do things on a smaller scale..I feel as if I overthink things at time and feel that there’s only one standard way to do things but I realize that I’d rather start small and make an impact on the community i live in and become know before expanding to a higher level. Sometimes I become too nice and forget my worth and want to do things for no pay and I’d rather have the credibility for my services. Thank you for your knowledge . I will be taking notes!!

One thing I’ve learned in my short 4 months of being an entrepreneur is having BOUNDARIES!!!! I worked for an establishment for 5 years and built a client base. Once I went out on my own I found that a lot of my clients who had been doing business with me many years starting asking for things that they would have never asked of the establishment because they felt like now I was keeping all the money to myself. That’s the furthest thing from the truth so I had to stand my ground and really lean into my skill to build my business. I lost a few clients but I didn’t take it personal. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Love following you. Big ups to you for being an entrepreneurial inspiration to me. 2020 will be my first full calendar year. I’ve been off and on with my business but now I am in the position to fully focus on growing my business full time. The biggest lessons I’ve learned is don’t give up and don’t listen to everyone’s opinion. Keep going and know that everyone who offers an opinion may not understand your industry, your mission, your vision, and/or your journey. Mama, you’re so DOPE ❤️.
