It is with great privilege that we bring to you the inspiring story of two exceptional young founders who have redefined the landscape of cannabis distribution. Allow us to introduce Jun and Vince, the visionary minds propelling Nabis, the world's largest wholesale platform and distributor for cannabis products.
With problem-solving at the core of their engineering backgrounds, Jun and Vince made a bold choice to venture beyond their comfort zones. As distributors of cannabis products, they took it upon themselves to personally deliver these goods, unearthing the real issues within the industry. Remarkably, they now handle the delivery of a staggering 20% of all cannabis products in California.
As you delve deeper into their narrative, you'll uncover the profound transformation brought about by Jun and Vince. They've not only broadened their horizons but have also spearheaded a new era in cannabis distribution. Prepare to be inspired by the extraordinary journey of these two trailblazing individuals, and the significant impact they've made on the world of cannabis.

No, they are a logistics and a SAAS company. "Dropshipping" btw they said they fulfill retail meaning they deliver products to recreational dispensaries. Drop shipping is when a small retailer (that typically sells in small quantities to the general public) receives a single large order for a product. the vast majority of weed in california isnt "legal" these guys dont have as big as a market share as people think and its not sustainable if weed laws in California are changed. Its not possible to grow quality weed and get it to customers at scale so legal weed in cali is dry garbage thats barely worth smoking. I dont think these guys are really legit this sounds like some business smoke and mirrors shit and no wonder why the weed is shit they have it sitting in boxes on shelf's in a warehouse. Funniest part is when Jun states "It takes 10 years to build a great company" Uh ... really? Read Jim Collins books, Great by Choice, & Good to Great. Of the tens of thousands companies his team analyzed, less than 25 ever achieved greatness. Just thinking, if you guys do that in 10 years that would be something no one else has done.. Of course, there's a first time for everything. But maybe if you truly are interested in building a great company, which is entirely different than an exit, you may want to expand your horizon by a few decades.
@JunSLee
@JunSLee 11 ай бұрын
That’s a fair point Darren! I think I was quoting a commonly used YC mantra that it takes “at least” 10 years to build a great business. What I mean to convey is that it takes a long time to building something great, and 10 years was more of a figure of speech to indicate some significant amount of time. I thought it was an important point to get across so people don’t view these stories as another case of “overnight success.” Looking forward to meeting you face to face sometime soon 🙂

No bank will touch them in the US. This industry is also on a massive decline because inventories are way oversaturated because it is a very easy crop to grow, legalization is bad for businesses like this because it has low barrier to entry, no moat and people can just grow their own. Canadian companies got slaughtered after full legalization because of this and the US will be the same. Their best bet will be to sell off the company to big tobacco who will steamroll the industry upon legalization.

exactly, the government not only knew that there was going to be a lot of potential but they also knew if they didnt throttle the market it would flood itself and become stagnant. like you said it already happened in places like Canada and even happened on a smaller scale in the state of Oregon a year after they legalized. If I was the government i would let the market snuff itself out until my best friend Monsanto is ready to take over and patent everything. its sad to see pure greed destroying what could have been a good thing, and its never a cannabis user who ruins its the straight edge Harvard graduates who need to ruin a perfectly good market.

Weed can also activate someone's Schizofrenia without them even knowimg they have it. That also makes them discover a part of their brain they didn't know they had. But, Hey! Nobody wants to associate weed with bad things 😂

As a pothead you have to be stupid not to notice something happening in your own body. CHS and predisposed diseases like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia can develop after regular cannabis use thank you captain obvious. The objective term there was predisposed, if its not overuse of cannabis any trauma can stimulate a disease that resides in your genetics rather than in the chemistry of the plant itself. its not a bad plant never has been, just because some people have abused and others have adverse reactions to its habitual usage doesn't mean we should negate its healing powers, therapeutic uses, and over all societal disposition as a source of recreation.

Engineers have no idea how to sell products. They are generally really bad at running businesses and generally lack the creative fluidity that entails b2b, b2c sales funnels, and marketing.

That black americans are not dominating this industry is a seriously missed opportunity. I mean how?

I started selling herb at 12 and growing at 15. I've spent decades in the business. When it comes to cultivation, apart from the few dready dudes I've met in the hills, I rarely came across any Black cultivators. I have met loads of Latinos, Hmong, Chinese, Bulgarians, Europeans, and lots of other growers of different backgrounds. Have definitely worked with lots of Black Cannabis enthusiasts, just very few who were producers.
