These are not the vital reasons!!! Oscar winning movies are those that take movie-making and its elements to a higher plane, to the next level - in innovation, presentation, concept, storytelling etc. The movie has to se sublime and FLAWLESS in EVERY ASPECT!!!! Indian movies don't reach those standards - maybe Satyajit Ray's movies did... but it still have to COMPETE with other sublime movies. It is not just the story or how engaging or relevant a movie is - but what it also does to the ART and SCIENCE of moviemaking that counts prominently. BIG Indian movie-making corporates and studios should fund and make a fantastic movie without flaws... then present it for Oscars. Aadujeevitham is contrived and lengthy without need. It is not something any student from America's top filmmaking school can't make or better. We need to push our standards of excellence extremely high - in ALL aspects, including the subtitle translations 😊!!!!! Oru adutha level venam - not following or catching up. Really taking filmmaking to a far superior level. Now why did the Nattu Nattu song from RRR get the Oscar? Because it was freakingly good - song, dance, entertainment, storytelling: all combined together, fantastically. The judges instantly know how difficult it would have been to shoot!!!
