Even GTA 5 had dumbed down physics compared to GTA 4. Since there is no competition, they dont need to improve much. Rockstar doesnt have to improve like crazy to prove they arent lazy since they are leagues ahead of the competition. Infact there is no competition. Watch_Dogs probably is the closest thing, and that is meh at best. It has a more structured physics system (just a bunch of fixed animations) compared to GTA 4 and 5 dynamic physics.

I think these all things can be explained. Cyberpunk was designed keeping 2077 in mind. Maybe in 2077 tires won't burst on bullets. Water becomes so polluted that bullets can't go through it. Maybe people are more patient as the police and the people in car if you stand infront of them. Maybe police become more patient than now. Gta 5 is a great game but it was design for 2019 and later but cyberpunk is 2077 game. Disclaimer : No offense to any game I love both the games

Rockstar’s games are way ahead of their time, yea they take long but they’re great games. GTA V was released 7 years ago yet it’s still one of the best game’s out there. Yeah that great attention to detail; at the miitary base, a roof infront of road / loading bay, signs pointing the wrong way, players able to rotate their car that lies on the roof by steering, also gta 4 did the same with drivers behavior when they get a gun pointed at them, but i think they also left the vehilce carfully (without shooting), also the agressive cops from gta 5 in 4 they where way more chill.

Graphics? Idk about that. Better world immersion, interactivity, less glitches, more details, better AI, better animation, better gameplay and better physics absolutely. But Cyberpunk has one thing going for it and that is, it looks gorgeous. Aesthetically, Cyberpunk beat GTA 5 but only because they had better technology and hardware to work with.
