Very interested in this. Hope they release different frames for a WIDE variety of plates. Hopefully, even for the Army's new shooter cut SAPIs One thing that would be cool is their own version of the S&S plate soc but with a field of loop velcro towards the inside of the plates. That way, we can add things like the Crye, Shaw, or Qore pontoons, or even the Shaw ARC armor upgrade for the grunts wanting more flak protection.

Your videos show many different approaches to plate carriers, interesting and creative ideas behind something that - in theory - should be simple. However, this one kept me on the edge of my seat. This one is certainly DIFFERENT. And - once again - you make a great review.

Looks pretty cool! Im not sure how i feel about elastic holding the plates so precariously but there is so much potential for growth and customization.

That's definitely a unique design, I would be interested in getting one to play with eventually.

It's interesting to see how tegris becomes more and more integrated into gear designs.

That's an interesting take and thanks for sharing! My concern would be where the male buckles are attached on the front plate bag. It seems that the 'skin' where the male buckles sit are kinda loose and will compromise the overall structural integrity even when using structured cummerbund such as AXL one
@christianlebron2710 Жыл бұрын
I’m very interested in trying it out. I’ve always been a proponent of minimalist plate carriers

The shaw radio pouch would be perfect since he designed it to be worn internal side of his wings
@KayosWONER Жыл бұрын
I also bugged him a bunch about those wings, I find the shaw concepts radio pouches to be great for the wings as well.

Options are always good, innovation comes thru trial and error . It seems good enough, depends for who and what 🤷♂

Interesting idea, but definitely seems like at the least a v2 would be good

Any way you could start doing a price tier and ranking system the more gear I watch the less I know what to get.

Ranking is pretty hard to do

Those shoulder straps look incredibly narrow and like they'd dig into your neck.
@KayosWONER Жыл бұрын
they're as wide as the lv119, plus you can always add strap pad ie qore vents or something of your choosing

they should have made a way for it to work with pontoons.

Kinda similar to the 4-14 Factory Adaptive plate carrier as far as I can tell.
@EODFish Жыл бұрын
I’ll have to go find that one.
@Tropikalk Жыл бұрын
I would say no, the 4-14 is a normal soft carrier that has tegris front and back panels that can be pre-configured and switched out where this plate carrier is using tegris structurally to carry the plates which hopefully make it more stable as well as shed heat and water much better. I am very interested.
@djay2_96 Жыл бұрын
@@Tropikalk That's a fair point. Check out the FrogPro Hawk carrier in that case. Because it does just that. The whole front of the plate bag is made of tegris, not just a panel. AFAIK, they are also only one of the two European companies making structural shoulder pads.
@Tropikalk Жыл бұрын
@JakubDrizhal yes I have seen it, frog pro build quality is very impressive. I have some of their pouches and super impressed, although I feel the high build quality also adds quite a bit of weight, not necessarily a bad thing, but the holy grail for me is lightweight over last forever.
@djay2_96 Жыл бұрын
@@Tropikalk I am tempted try their pads, would prefer the Axl ones, but they are a little hard to come by here. They seem to have put a lot of thought into their work tho, but the excess bulk kinda makes me want to stay away as they would probably interfere with the padding on the carrier. Yote or Axl ones are a bit less bulky.

Cant someone pull the placard loose in a fight situation? If it's only velcro attached.
@EODFish Жыл бұрын
Sure, maybe. Im not seeing the concern there though?
@jonathonschram3429 Жыл бұрын
Better they pull the placard off then yank you around/to the ground, right? I'm not really seeing a downside unless it shakes loose while running.
@aubrey5569 Жыл бұрын
The wtf Cummerbund 52 would probably perfect for this

This plate carrier is for range warriors that wish they were delta or a seal... this has ZERO combat practicality. To weak and easily destroyed over extended rigorous use...
@EODFish5 ай бұрын
All of these materials are objectively stronger than the plate carriers of old.
