@@kevinaa114 This is true, but these towns were built mainly of wood, and over the years they were destroyed by war and rebuilt. You can't preserve an old, beautiful building like Venice. But if you talk about the history of these towns dating back to 100 BC, the historical environment of China determined that the north produced warriors to defend against and invade the nomads, and the south produced grain to feed these warriors. At that time, we did not have more technology to transport food, mainly through land transport and river transport to ensure the delivery of food to the north, so the town you see today was only to protect the river transport of small forts and posts for troops to rest, people around these buildings slowly developed into towns, forming today's towns.

Salamanders are a group of amphibians typically characterized by their lizard-like appearance, with slender bodies, blunt snouts, short limbs projecting at right angles to the body, and the presence of a tail in both larvae and adults.Salamander diversity is highest in eastern North America, especially in the Appalachian Mountains; most species are found in the Holarctic realm, with some species present in the Neotropical realm. The Chinese call it: "Baby Fish"Chinese pronunciation is: "WA WA YU".

My grandma is from that town Zhu Jia Jiao. I spent my childhood summer there before it became a tourist attraction. I love to get away from the modern city and hang out with my cousins there. My aunt's house is still there and is being rented out. Last time (this summer) I was there it was under construction, because that house was more than 100 years old. When I stood there the house was so much smaller than I thought. You chose the right time to go there, off season time. The sticky rice with pork belly is the authentic local food. The bugs and the fried dough are actually not. I am glad you had a good experience there!
