I think from memory yours was one of the first peoples videos I started watching when I first discovered there were all these vinyl related videos on youtube. Crazy, isn't it? I often kick myself for not getting our Encore video up, Brian. It's mostly edited, then shelved. That was such a great day, though, that I'm going to get it up regardless of how much time has passed! Unfortunately, I'm not sure an AA trip is in the cards for us this summer. I've had some back trouble that has set me way behind, and my wife is going to have her hip replaced, which we weren't really expecting to have to do. If anything starts brewing in that department, though, you'll be the first to know!

Rob - I just re-subscribed to your channel. Although I don't make videos & am not an official member of the VC, I have watched some of these videos for a few years. Your videos were among the first I ever saw - I particular liked your listening space, which appeared to be in the lower level of your house (basement) - which we don't have where I live in Houston. I also though I once heard you say that you were a 1981 HS graduate (please correct me if I am wrong), and that gives you something in common with me (among, oh, the collecting of many, many recordings)! Anyway, good to see you back. I understand about dealing with your father's death. My mother died suddenly in 2010, and it has always been hard to deal with. Per your listening space - did you move? Thanks for those kind words, Dave! The Masekela album is just called 'Grrr', on Verve from 1966. Recently, I found that and two older Masekela records (behind 'Grrr' in the stack there) for $2 each at a local shop.

Hi mate. I was looking at renditions of to a mouse and your blog, post came up. What makes you post a Robert Burns poem? Fantastic though it is. Sorry to hear about your dad, my dad past away last year too. Anyway great version of the burns poem. You can't do it any other way than in old Scots dialect. It doesn't make sense otherwise. Thank you very much. Most of my relatives are from Scotland, so I have been fascinated with almost all things Scottish for most of my life. The Burns Poem was something that my daughter and I sort of challenged ourselves to learn - and we did! Have you seen her version, too?

I know what you mean about noticing dates on videos, Dave. The bottom line is that I was away for about a year, as I mentioned in this video. I've got footage from some digs that happened during that year, though. So, when I get those videos edited and uploaded, don't pay attention to those dates! ;-) Okay?

I've run into some snags with the shelving project, some having to do with the construction itself and some having to do with all the rest of life that keeps getting in the way.
