Man I think I subbed to you when you posted the power windows conversion for gmt 900 videos. I couldn't afford to get new door panels so I used wt panels and the switches are the universal type. The wiring was super simple and easy to get done. I used Oem window regulators as well so very good up and down. Also did a universal remote power lock kit! I've been waiting to pull the trigger on the q80 pro by eonon but when I saw you posted this I had to check it out. I'm definitely gonna go with this unit instead. Oh and I saw under my back seat that I've got a 8 gauge red and black, a blue and two RCA connectors so whadaya know my truck had a sub before I even got it. Gonna put the rockville 12" you used in your wife's kia and this head unit and hopefully be off to the races nice plug and play deal. I knew I subbed to you for a reason it just took a while to get there. Thanks for these videos they are a life saver

@@BigBRacing1 if you have factory steering wheel controls, then yes, they will work.

@@LGHNurse yes phone and contact list work perfect, along with steering wheel controls. There is an internal microphoneon front of unit, and a external microphone that can be added if needed.

My backup camera comes out on the rear view mirror how do I get it to show on the stereo? Or will it show on both?

@@KrookedMob you need to plug in the back up camera video out from the mirror to the backup camera in on the radio.

So I just hooked mine up to my 2013 Chevy Silverado and I’m not getting no sound from my rear speakers but on my right rear speaker I’m getting a hum or a buzz sound front speakers work great then when I shut the truck off the buzzand hum sound Stay on for about a minute and then goes away. Do you know why that would do that?

@@tommywilliams1402 yea that definitely is not right. I would check all the connections behind the radio. If possible check them with power applied and see if you can get it to go away. You could also try a factory reset. Other than that you may have a defective unit and would need to exchange it.

@@T_B_C_L yes I looked at it this morning and I had the other wire hooked up to the Bose connector swapped it to the other connector and it works just fine

@@tommywilliams1402 there is actually quite a bit of information in the owners manual. I'm sure the ability to change from metric to imperial must be in there. If you can't find it let me know as I do have a contact at eonon that may be able to help.

@@sebastianjasso784 hmmm, I would try reseting the unit. That sounds like maybe the steering wheel controls are malfunctioning. Sometimes just powering off then on will fix these types of issues to.

Ive got Bose from the factory and everytime i plugged in the gray plug it would hum really loudly so i changed plugs and it works fine. I cant get my steering wheel controls to work though, any ideas?

@@bhamilton2807 hmmm, steering controls should work straight out of the box. Have you tried updating the unit via wifi? The owners manual that comes with these units is pretty detailed. Try to find the section about steering controls.

If anything!!! It's made to run a full audio system. I don't think It has alot of power to run 4 speakers. Unless you have a Bose system...

@@mikehaight7575 honestly I haven't discovered anything negative at all. It has taken multiple updates and all went fine. The dsp ui has been updated and working even better than before. No battery drain and data stiil works perfect. All on all I can still highly recommend.

Hey man thanks for the video. Any chance you could tell me if picture-in-picture works for Google Maps? If you have Google Maps open in full screen mode (not in Android Auto) and you hit the home button, just Google Maps get minimized to a small window in the corner? Can you have something like KZbin open full screen with Google Maps in the corner?

@@T_B_C_L I appreciate it - All you would need to do to test it is open Google Maps in full screen mode, then hit the home button. It should work the same as on your phone. I just realized your head unit might not be the newest version, I think it works on the newest one

My idea was that cars should just have a blank space where screen usually is, and have a internal Amp that phone plugs into and you just use your phone to control all infotainment. So your phone is your screen that you just take with you. All phones could easily attach magnetically.
