Pieters, so the dimension need to be +70% of the intended print "volume", correct, or after a given size, the proportion varies, needing also a beefier frame? Thanks

Uhm, i haven't actually calculated it, i'll mesure it and tell you ... but it all comes down on how you organise your axis... you can even place the motors on the outside of the frame... the frame is ok, but indeed i need to make it a little stronger... 2020 still gives some wobble

@@pietershomeprojects4537 I would eventually plan for a 65x65 useful printing size so a 3030 'profile is mandatory. Folllowing your advice of taking an existing machine as a basis and improve on that, of corse with an Hypercube on the sights, is there a model/brand you would recommend? Also, are there any cons in having some mounting parts in alu or brass? Thanks for your answer.

hey Roberto, i don't see an issue with alu or brass parts... if you plan to build a machine like that the minimum is indeed 3030 maybe even bigger (8040 or 4040). A core-xy setup is in my opinion pretty good, maybe check the voron, it's also a nice printer, but the buildplate is fixed... I'm waiting for some parts to arrive, i've got some professional MGN rails ordered... and i'm pretty convinced it will give me better results... Maybe this might be an intresting link for you: mechlab.cc/which-corexy-voron-vs-v-king-vs-d-bot-vs-hypercube-evo/

@@pietershomeprojects4537 Pieters since you are so kind to reply, may I ask you one last question (I have hundreds, but I feel there comes a time when, you have to experiment by yourself); My question is; if you had to reproduce, say a shield (slightly curved), maybe 50 by 40 would you print it standing it upright or laying it flattish, including supports that will need to be removed once finidhed, or is possible to print without ? Thanks

Grear video, however the hypercube evolution is a modified version of the hypercube made by scott 3d, not tech2c. Great video otherwise 😊
