Hi Pieter, I am going to be building my own HyperCube soon. I am collecting parts at the moment. I am also planning to use the Duet WiFi board. Did you research any of the other controller boards? Did you consider using carbon fibre rods for the hotend axis?
@pietershomeprojects45375 жыл бұрын
Hey SKWDiesel1, Best of luck with your build! if you got questions, feel free to ask! I went for the DuetWifi, since this is a 32bit, with built in stepperdrivers, and those drivers are awesome... so i was pretty fast convinced. And the price is ok for what you get, also, my 3D printer lives at my attick (that's where i make all my video's, and i would like to activate and control my printer from my living room, so the wifi was, for what i found the best option. I didn't consider the carbon fibre rods, cause i when i saw Tech2c grinding them to get a smooth surface, i didn't wanted to go that way... Greetz

@@pietershomeprojects4537 Have you considered enclosing the printer to accommodate higher temperature plastics? I see problems at the top of the cube! For my cube I can see me having to extend the frame upwards by 300mm+ to allow feeding of filament.

@@SKWDiesel1 Yes i did/do.... There are a lot of options.. but right now i'm struggling with my Z-axis 😂😂

Looks good, i'm shure it's a great printer, there aren't very much diffrences, double z-axis and double z-rods... i've seen this, but i want to try it with a "floating bed", just because it looks cool.... if it sucks, i'll move over to this setup 😊
