On the whole minimalist 'aesthetic', that was one of the things that really put me off when I first discovered minimalism. I appreciate the clothing and home decor style but a lot of it is really not me. I can't think of anything more boring or insanity inducing than plain white walls and furniture. I have a somewhat 'alternative' style so the stuff you see on KZbin and Pinterest just doesn't work for me. And then I realised that minimalism isn't the style, it's the reason why certain things exist in your life. So I can have black walls and skull jewelry and still be a minimalist. I can have a number of art pieces on my walls and still be a minimalist. As long as everything I own brings value to my life, and I'm happy that's all that matters.

I loved the part about budgeting. I made a clothing budget last year of 30 Pounds per month and 6 months in I adjusted it to 25 Pounds. Last year I spent only 140 Pounds on clothing (!) It's a bit silly how proud I am of this, while I have never spent "a lot", I had and bought more clothing than I needed. I don't feel deprived, I fee liberated plus it's so much fun to see that I don't really even need those 25 Pounds! Also, thank you for advocating a zero waste life style as well as advocating making sustainable purchasing decisions. Long story short, thank you for inspiring others to live a more meaningful life, with less :)

30:00 I love this, and I totally feel like that now. I can go shopping with friends (which for me isn't shopping since I don't buy things) without thinking: oh, I miss this. Instead, I found what I enjoy more.

That is interesting about the Minimalist Cat. We can learn a lot from those little rascals. They are perfectly happy, just owning a litter box and a fake mouse.

It took me a long time to understand the relationships thing but it's true - sometimes we are friends because it's been that way for years - not becxause you have amazing conversations

Can you talk about moving into your first home. I've got a seemingly endless list of 'stuff" I think I must buy in order to live there.

Hey! I am asking about Caitlin's question - I understood: Un-Fancy, Project333, *Catberries*? (sure I heard wrong lol xD), IntoMine, Wardrobe Architect. Sorry to be daft - but can any one post the exact links to the last three suggestions please?
