(EP 1) How to Jailbreak the PS4 (7.55 or Lower!)

Remember this is a 7.55 Jailbreak Tutorial, which is primarily for people with PS4's that are higher than 7.02 and are unable to use one of the older Jailbreaks. There are older Jailbreaks available for 7.02, 6.72 & 5.05 that are currently more stable than the 7.55 Jailbreak. So if you're on a lower firmware than 7.50 it might be a good Idea to consider using one of the older Jailbreaks for better stability. You will still be able to follow the rest of this series on most older PS4 Jailbreaks. However, if you are just looking to be on the latest Jailbreak anyway then you can disregard this comment.

Your videos are a must to anyone wants to jailbreak the PS4. These new episodes reached a new level also. I've just jailbroken a friend's PS4 updating it from 7.02 to 7.55 before and I can state there is a huge difference getting the HEN/Mira/GoldHEN to load on 7.55 vs 5.05, in fact on 5.05 many times it's first try and with 7.55 you must repeat a lot of times, rebooting, failing or even unexpected shutdowns. I hope I haven't made a mistake in updating it to version 7.55, maybe with 7.02 the success rate was higher.

MODDED WARFARE I really like this video series, excellent work. However, one point of criticism: In this video, you tell people to update to the 7.55 firmware right off the bat without any warning. It's well known that the 7.02 firmware (and below) is still far more stable. You even mention it yourself in subsequent videos (like Ep. 10: "if you decide to update from 7.02 to 7.55 for some ungodly reason"). I myself updated my console from 7.00 to 7.55 while following your tuto. Now it's true I should have done a more thorough research and figured out updating to 7.02 was a far better idea. Still, you should make a mention of it *in this video* at least. My 2 cents.

Yes I should of said that but I guess I was preoccupied with trying to not make the video too long. However this video is a 7.55 Jailbreak tutorial. I have other Jailbreak tutorials for 5.05 and 6.72. Eventually most will update to 7.55 as support will slowly drop off for older firmware's, as happened with 1.76, 4.05, 4.55 etc. Only people still on those Jailbreaks are people who can't update due to broken blu-ray drives. The reason people stay on older firmware's now is for stability, which should change once this Jailbreak becomes more stable over time through future exploits and optimisations. @Brenyd Ahh nice. I brought a 5.05 PS4 from EBay and updated my 8.03 to 9.0. I had two jail broken PS4s but I really wanted to play Marvel Avengers on it's latest update with Spider-Man so I updated to 9.03. I now have a modded and normal PS4 for online gameplay, etc.

Had a same issue, I tied almost every exploit, best for me was host from Dark-Knight, the GOLD hen. It usually work for me on at lest 3rd attempt, if not I just reboot PS4 and repeat proces. (PS4 slim)

As always a great video. However, the 7.55 JB is dreadful. Had it working a few times, but today been at it all morning. Each time its 10-15 out of memory errors then it loads only to say it failed and reboot the PS4 not worth the extra games and wish I had stayed on 6.72 which was a 95% first time load for me.

From most stable to least stable: 5.05, 6.72, 7.02, 7.55. I went ahead to 7.55. In my opinion 7.55 is as stable as 7.02, but both are least stable of all compared to 5.05

Mira doesn't just enable the Jailbreak. It also provides a framework that developers can take advantage of when making homebrew apps and payloads. So there are some homebrew apps that will not function without Mira. On the other hand HEN now includes a lot of other payloads like, VR support, disable updates, perma UART enabler and more. So you can just run HEN and it does the work of all those payloads combined, as well as running the Jailbreak. So they're both useful for different reasons.

For anyone that is having Kernel Panic, I don't have them for 4 straight days, just enter playroom, exit and then load the exploit. It gives the no memory but stopped the KP. Until ...today, after 6 days without a single KP, the exploit dark king or something stopped loading and KP is showing again.... And it was after I forgot to turn off the PS4 for the night... it was frozen and the KP started again
