I love that you, Dr. Esselstyn, makes the case as clearly as you can, but don't nag at people... lol. I used to try to get people to change and made myself really frustrated. Now, I try to answer questions to the best of my ability, and offer some links. Otherwise, I remember that I got most of my info about wfpb nutrition on the internet. I hope they do, too. One of my favorite videos I viewed in my early days on this plan was/is Dr. Es video where he shouts, ":No oil." I knew about plant based but no idea about no oil. This is a great video and great interview. Glad you interviewed your dad first.

I had progressed to a mostly plant based diet but because of dry skin I slathered everything w good heart healthy olive oil and not surprisingly experienced heart palpitations. After hearing Dr E's shout out NO OIL! I eliminated it and no longer have the heart palpitations.💚

I really appreciated the explanation of why to chew rather than drink the greenery. I have been making basic green smoothies (1 ripe banana + 1 cup frozen chopped greens + 1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk + cranberries in season) in which to cook (6 minutes in microwave) my rolled oats to start my day green, with blueberries stirred in. It cooks up somewhat cake-like but chewy. I'd certainly like to know if this would meet with Dr. Esselstyn's approval. Seems like it would, but I'm not sure. An occasional alternative breakfast is stir fried diced potatoes with onion and granulated garlic and frozen chopped spinach/turnip greens + 2 slices (gasp) of toasted Ezekiel flaxseed sprouted bread with citrus marmalade and or blackberry jam. Had that this morning, yum. I know the marmalade and jam wouldn't meet the plant perfect criteria, but hope it will accord well enough with plant strong. I've been plant-based, no oil, but not no salt or no sugar (though half or less than at one time) for nearly 8 years now, a 10-year breast and uterine cancer 'survivor' with no apparent chronic diseases other than osteoarthritis (with turmeric and pepper in my daily breakfasts, hardly evesoor a twinge). You're doing such good work, Rip; thanks for being out there doing what you do - a worthy successor to your wonderful father. Will watch your interview by Rich Roll soon.
