Watch our first episode about understanding x-rays in tibial plateau fractures in orthohub’s new #ODM series.
orthohub’s ODM: Orthopaedic Decision Making educational video series is designed to bring a new way of learning via interactive annotated videos for orthopaedic surgeons.
As the series progresses, we will take one topic at a time and work through all the key aspects of management. Along with special invited expert guests, we will be talking about the nuances, the key factors that go into decision making, and #thestepsbetweenthesteps
We will be talking about judgement and the tacit inputs that go into deciding what to do and, more importantly, what not to do. Pitfalls will be highlighted, and key tips and tricks will be freely shared.
We will be starting with all aspects of tibial plateau fractures and the library will build from there to eventually cover all aspects of orthopaedics , both trauma and elective.
In this video, Kash and Pete kick off tibial plateau with an important and often overlooked resource, the plain radiographs. They demonstrate the key normal anatomy on imaging, and then how this is distorted in tibial plateau fractures. They also share tips and tricks for intra-operative fluoroscopy setup and imaging, vital for intra-operative feedback.
All this is done in an interactive and easy to follow way that you may not have seen before in orthopaedics!

I love this. I’m a patient who suffered this injury about two years ago. I live in Japan and I had very good medical care, however there were certain language problems which prevented me from fully understanding the treatment and the concepts involved. So I really enjoyed watching this video and, as a layman, getting a little bit more technical information from you guys. Absolutely superb thank you very much.

This is important information. I went into the emergency room with a serious tibial plateau fracture and it was misdiagnosed, and i was forced into a splint with an excruciating knee bend. I was stuck like this for 3 days before i could get re-examined and properly diagnosed.

Hello doctor. Could you please explain the reason for feeling of heaviness in the leg post surgery for tibial condyle fracture. Is it normal? Does it requires any kind of medication?

Im not sure if you’ve gotten an answer for this but I’m in week post surgery in my Tibia and I’m feeling the heaviness. I’m thinking it’s because the muscles are weak and/or the body getting us to the hardware.

My o/p post surgery letter says there has been some subsidence of the lateral tibial plateau but goes on to say, alignment remains satisfactory. Should I be concerned?

I'd be interested to know what these physicians think about BPC157 Peptide treatments, since there don't seem to be any double-blind, controlled trials on humans,. .
