I was recently out exploring and saw signs saying private property that made it look like you were heading onto a private ranch driveway (did not say you could not use the road but said no trespassing). It was confusing because right when I turned onto the road it had a county road sign. Ended up that just about the entire road goes through a ranch and the many signs were there to make sure you knew that the road is a right of way only and not to stop and explore away from the road. I have also found many "not a through street" signs that are complete BS. They usually end up being very nice riding routes.

Yup - I believe it when I see the street signs with the little edge of yellow that says PVT. Anything else is suspect!

BTW if you go from the bottom of the hill on Fish Hatchery Road, you can take Back Creek Road to a closed FS gate, you go around that gate and keep going up hill. When you get to a fork in the trail, make a hard left continuing uphill. That will take you all the way to that closed gate you saw up at the top. That road is rough, steep and washed out. It is a closed FS road , so you also get the thrill of doing something stupid that can get you into trouble.
@SomeGuyRides8 ай бұрын
You're totally right. I'm too afraid to go on closed FS roads- the fines are steep!

Interesting fact: There is a Table Rock on Hwy 11 in Pickens county SC and it is absolutely worth the hike to the top. It's a bit of a rough one, but it's worth it. Great video man. By the way, diesel is one of the cleanest burning fuels we have for the amount of work it can do. That black smoke that the goof ball kids put out means that it's not running right and done on purpose. A good tuned diesel doesn't smoke in the least and emits almost no emissions. I agree though, I'm not on board with one person, with nothing in the back and pulling no load riding around trying to look cool. It's a free country and I support their right to do it, but that doesn't mean I cant call out the idiocy. Most, if not all are compensating for something, and we all know what it is LOL
@SomeGuyRides8 ай бұрын
That's crazy about diesel being he cleanest - i NEVER would have guessed that. Yeah - we definitely all know what the compensation thing is about. You can have self-confidence, or you can blow dirty smoke out of your exhaust. Can't have both!
@PSBEadventures8 ай бұрын
@SomeGuyRides yes sir! In Europe, even the small passenger cars, taxis, small Toyota pickups etc have diesel. Yep, I was thinking compensation for small pee-pee too maybe... 🤣🤣🤣🤣😀

I have ran across several "public roads" that were marked with "private road" or "no trespassing" signs. In some cases I knew for a fact that the county or the forest service done the mantenance on those roads. One that intrigued me was hung on a steel cable blocking a road that said, "private road by order of sheriff's department." After making a couple of calls was told by a County Deputy, "That's a BULL SH*T sign." this is a public road. We don't post private property. That's up to the land owner and prceeded to cut the cable and take the sign down. I have ran across a couple of signs that read, "Road Closed by Court Order Case No. ********." Those I take as legit. Follow your gut fellings, If something doesn't seem right. It usually isn't.
@SomeGuyRides8 ай бұрын

I think these private roads are simply just roads that are not maintained by the county. We have loads of these roads marked PVT. Some even say "End Of County Maintained Road."
