(6:00) my wife was afraid also, I bought a Yamaha 1700 road star as our first bike together. ( I've had 7 or 8 before meeting her). we slowly work up to going out on our main road, as if went a few miles, through small side roads, making a 25 mile ride loops and out to breakfast ( always have to have a theme to go for a ride) I slowly introduced her to a riding club. Star chapter 297 out of FT. Lauderdale, FL. The adventure of meeting people scared her. our first meet up, all the ladies came over and welcome my wife in to the club. ( it was amazing to she a look of fear, turn to happiness) we rode with them for 7 years. and almost 5 years as a road shepherd. Our longest trip was from FT. Lauderdale to Chattanooga TN, for Star Days 2007. But i've done solo trips to Banff BC and Nova Scotia. from Florida

Everyone that owned a Honda Shadow loved it. I had a 86ish model 700cc. Loved that thing, it was only a few years old when I bought it. I have since learned the HP and Torque numbers for that bike and that is one of the things that made it fun. The seat position, etc...all of it was great. I got Harley fever and sold it to buy a HD. I regret selling it and I think most people that had a Shadow regretted selling theirs. I have been tempted to buy a good used one...but, I hear some parts or quality replacement parts for it no longer exist.

That forest road at the end was killer dude! Too bad about Itchy though, sounds like she's not back until next fall. Thanks!

I’ve read where they have a replacement head bearing for our himies. The old bearing wears out quick. I’m the dude that has a himi Harley and Honda 300L. The Honda is way smoother than the himi on gravel. The himi is a little better on pavement. I’ll ride the Honda a while then decide what to sell if anything. Great video bud. I look forward to your stuff.

Initially Itchy made her money doing geochemistry for the gold prospecting industry. Now she has 2,5m subs on YT, so makes 8k to 15k a month. She's sponsored by Rev it( Dutch manufacturer of motorcycle gear). She got to use the new Himilyan for free ofcourse, probably the flight over and some travelling expenses. She likes to stay independant, still does her own editing. Hopefully she heals up fast and will be back after the summer. On a HONDA.😏

My wife didn't like the FZ6, didn't like the Shadow 750, she was OK with the VStar 1100 but she really likes the FJR1300. She has her own Can-Am Ryker and a 1979 Hondamatic though.

What’s better than a ride like that at that speed. I could go on forever riding like that. Stress free CRF’s are a lot higher seat height not as easy to get on and off. The 411 is an easy bike to live with the 450 will be water cooled not as easy to maintain as the 411 which anyone can strip and rebuild.

If you do not know how or have the right tools to correctly preload the head bearings, you should take it to someone who does. You are doing more damage that you know by riding with them loose.
