Before the rise of Islam, Arabia was a largely tribal and polytheistic society. The Arabian Peninsula was home to a variety of nomadic Bedouin tribes and settled communities, with social and political life deeply rooted in clan and family ties. Each tribe had its own gods, with the Kaaba in Mecca serving as a central religious site, housing numerous deities worshiped by various groups. Economically, the region was connected to major trade routes that passed through cities like Mecca and Medina, facilitating commerce between Yemen, the Levant, Persia, and the Byzantine Empire. While agriculture existed in some fertile regions like Yemen and the oases, much of the Arabian economy revolved around trade and herding. Culturally, Arabia was influenced by neighboring civilizations such as the Persians, Byzantines, and Abyssinians. Poetry played a significant role in society, serving as a means of recording history, expressing tribal pride, and conveying wisdom. However, Arabian society was also marked by tribal conflicts and a lack of political unity, with various tribes often engaging in warfare over resources. Religion before Islam was primarily polytheistic, although there were small communities of Christians, Jews, and followers of Zoroastrianism present in certain regions.

In Islamic tradition, the abandonment of Hagar and her son Isma‘il (peace be upon them) in the barren valley of Makkah was not a decision made by Ibrahim (peace be upon him) or Sarah out of personal choice or jealousy. Instead, it was a direct command from Allah as part of His divine plan. This is evidenced by Hagar’s response when she asked Ibrahim, “Did Allah command you to do this?” and he replied, “Yes.” She then said, “Then Allah will not neglect us.” (Narrated by Ibn Abbas, as cited in Tafsir Ibn Kathir, commentary on Surah Ibrahim 14:37). Additionally, there is no conclusive evidence in Islamic sources that Hagar was a princess or the daughter of a Pharaoh. Islamic tradition identifies her as a gift given by the Egyptian ruler to Sarah, as mentioned in Sahih Bukhari: “The tyrant gave Hagar as a servant to Sarah.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book 60, Hadith 334).

Your missing a lot ! It seems this narration is coming from a non Muslim view.. It was Allah who commanded Abraham to take Hagar and she asked him as he walked away n he replied yes it a commandment . And it was angel jibreel who intervened with Hagar n Ishmael you didn’t mention Very important information… This isnt a good source of Islamic knowledge

Our Heavenly Father knew that the angels could be persuasive but his lightening cramps supercedes them between the pads with wings section and we bend the wings and mandatory of women even though they took many measures to cover it up. Our Heavenly Father called fallen angels false gods in his commandments and there is a pads with wings section of his discipline.
