Ep. 10 Emergency Medicine Physician, Dr. Lexie Mannix

Welcome back for the 10th episode of #MDTribe ! This week Dr. Lexie Mannix, Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician, who shares her journey to medicine with us! Dr. Mannix graduated from FSU College of Medicine in 2014, which is how she landed on my radar! From the moment she knew she wanted to pursue medicine up until present day as she serves as a faculty member of the University of Florida Emergency Medicine Residency program in Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Mannix shares incredible advice and experience on how she was successful as a medical student and residency applicant. Dr. Mannix has a passion for understanding how gender plays a role in our experience as medical professional and founded SheMd, an online network to inspire and support women in medicine. She is the epitome of "women in medicine are a different breed" and a boss at wearing many hats in her career. It was such a pleasure to interview her and I hope you gained just as much inspiration as I did!
