For this week's episode, Teepa and Greg discuss a topic that most people are uncomfortable addressing, incontinence. Particularly when it involves a person living with dementia, is it important for us to know what to expect and how we can provide support.

I just found out that both of my parents have dementia my mom has early signs but I think she's in the moderate stage my dad has it pretty bad too this is all new for me and it's very hard I have my own handicaps as well my own challenges it makes it hard when you're disabled and then you've got parents that have this disease I just need resources and information about how to help my parents because they don't want to do anything and they don't want to follow the CARE program and my mom still wants to drive and we try to tell her no but she doesn't listen we know she's at high risk if there's any resources or numbers that anybody could give me that would be great thank you God bless

My mom has dementia Alzheimer’s (stage 6) and is afraid of the toilet and fights me when she’s had an accident (diarrhea). Any advice on how to reassure her that the toilet is where we go pee etc. and that I’m helping her change her dirty underwear so she can be comfortable? She fights me daily on changing her depends and clothes if she’s had an accident.

I am a caregiver for female patient. She is pretty far along with Alzheimer’s with Aphasia. She can’t tell us if she is in pain but constant crying and screams may suggest UTI. How do I get a urine specimen to have tested
