Fourth time trying to finish watching this without interruptions. LOL! I hadn’t heard of AllTrails! I want to get my little one into walking some tracks, so this looks good!

I recently signed up for the free trial of AllTrails and went on without hesitation to pay the annual fee, it's well worth the money for what you get out of it. I think it cost around $35-$40. ~ Ben

That was great! There are some very cool apps you both mentioned that I hadn’t heard of before. So very cool. 😊

Such a useful edition. I am something of a luddite when it comes to technology, but once I hear about and use a good app, I can become a real fan. Have used wiki camps for years. Only started using google maps on my big road trip a couple of years ago, before that I was one for my paper maps. I do use BOM regularly, but great to find out all these new apps that can enhance my camping and save me precious dollars. I did have a device that used Hemma Maps in my vehicle, but then I could not update it via my computer and felt like money wasted. The Hemma maps, as provided by the sat nav I bought, alerted you to speed limits and speed cameras, as well as their fantastic quality detailed maps I have especially valued as a hiker, complete with contours and minor roads etc. It was a case of a conflict between the sat nav company and my computer system and no fault of Hemma maps, but do beware of this pitfall. It really was next level service, when it was operating. Thanks for such a great episode!

BoM was unbiased, until they became Woke and deleted some of their records, to suit the agenda?! )):

Great ep, Gaia GPS a big omission from this list. Affordable option for those that can’t invest in HEMA digital. It’s free with a premium version for extra features. I always use the free version of it with a physical HEMA map as back up.

Guys if you dedicate an episode to reviewing something. as LEAST know what your reviewing. All Trails is exceptional I've used it all over the world. You can download maps for offline use, route find track routes you're on.. It has topo-maps sat maps outline maps etc. HOWEVER it a annual subscription service. We hike back country a lot so for us it is well worth the money.

Apologies if we didn't cover off on this in enough detail. I must admit that I hadn't used All Trails until a recent trip, I signed up for the free trial and was immediately sold and have now paid the the annual fee which as you say is well worth the money, it was only around AUD$40 when I signed up. It will now be my go-to map for navigation and I'm not sure why I haven't used it before. ~ Ben

Made me laugh watching the tiny size of Adelaide on the fuel map ( yes I spent most my life there). Weather apps work off of different modelling software. NSW National Parks app is pretty good. Welcome to the darkside Lauren (android phone). What3words seems really cool.

Haha, Adelaide is small, we like it like that. I've put What3Words on my daughters phone now, it's a really useful app. ~ Ben

Thanks for this, I just made an assumption that it was a square metre, didn't think to look into this further before the episode. ~ Ben
