I know this is an older episode (just discovered you guys and have been binging!) but omfg the utility bills over here in Canada have gotten absolutely INSANE lately. I legit hold my fckn breath and do a silent prayer every month as I open my gd bill lmao. I've got a fairly small house, 2 bedrooms 1 bath..do have a decent size basement but all that's down there is the kids' playroom and my washer/dryer, it's just me and my 2 kids who are 4&6 and we're at work or school all fricken day yet my electricity/water bill has literally doubled suddenly in the last few months! DOUBLED! I've been paying around $150/month typically since we moved here 4 years ago, touch more in the summer but it's never gone over 200. My last fckn 3 bills have been over 300! I'm about to start living like Laura fckn Ingles and live by candle light, kids' tablets and tvs are about to get sold to pay the gd bills 🥴🤣 Same with the gas prices, I'm with James..shit goes up any higher we're fckn walking or I'm tying these kids up to a damn dog sled and they can burn some energy as they drag us where we need to go 🤦‍♀️
