Miss them so much. There will never be another band like them. They were truly one of a kind. I look forward to hearing what they come up with. It would be great to see them again someday.

So cool to hear Van & Jeff together for a Nevermore focused interview. I wish Jeff & Van never split from eachother after the band split up.

Sounds like that has been rectified!

@@themetalexchangepodcast3811 it will be awesome to hear them together, but their chemistry together for Nevermore was absurd, I don't think it will be quite the same with GB, but still awesome!

I discovered Nevermore during the Dreaming Neon Black years. I played Everquest and made friends with someone in a guild called Seven Tongues of Chaos. When I asked where the name came from, is when I learned about the band (based off their song Seven Tongues of God). Just a couple years later, the album Dead Heart came out and I was hooked. I remember seeing Nevermore play in Richmond Virginia on the Dead Heart tour. I could not believe how small the crowd was. Nevermore was the opening act, they played about 6, maybe 7 songs and that was it. But it was so raw, so heavy, and they were on point technically. My mind was blown. How could this amazing band be an opening act for a crowd of maybe 300?? Followed them ever since. RIP Warrel Dane! \m/

nah man, this band died with WD. it's just a guy that cannot be replaced. people need to finally re learn that there are final consequences to things and nothing lasts forever. just let it rest and be glad you got what you got

@@hazardeur I have listen to your opinion for many years and bands that moved on without "important" members have proof me wrong, unless it is the "the one and only creative force" behind the band , like chuck from death of kurt from nirvana as an example , there is still talent and creativity to keep going with the band.

This interview could have been quite a bit longer and more in depth, even just on Dead Heart in a Dead World. I am suprised there was no mention of the solo from Engines of Hate. That solo is one for the ages!
@K707OR3010 ай бұрын
Damn I miss these guys. As much as I would love Nevermore to be “back” I understand why Jeff answered the way he did in past tense and it goes back to a point made earlier in the interview - those four guys were so unique and that’s what made Nevermore what it was. Without Warrel (or Jim, not sure what he’s up to) it just wouldn’t be Nevermore.

Latched on to Sounds of Silence "That is the song. That is the sound of silence" 😂 Insignificant Am I. Narcosyinthesis was rad! So cool yeah Warrel once shut down a show the Studio SEVEN because a fan got ejected for jumping off the stage. Hahaha I'm commenting as I am listening. Yeah that's the show at the old Show Box with Dimmu Hypocrisy and Children of Bodom. I warned my friends hey right after the Nevermore set make it back to the bar and wait a song before you want to jump back into that pit. That was a whirlwind of pain I was in my early twenties then. It went from Nevermore kind of drunk helping people up. To Shagrath taking the stage and saying "I want you to hurt Each other for SATAN! That show was quite the quit the contrast on a lot of levels. After two songs I jumped into the Dimmu. I didn't break anything but I was bruised may have chipped a tooth. We didn't run in circles back then.
