Season 2, episode 19 is here. Dominic, Connor, Erica, and Mark have an awesome conversation with living legend - Jonathan Frakes - Commander/Captain William Riker.
Thunderbirds. The Star Trek Enterprise Finale. Picard Season 3. Directing. Acting. PANCAN. Picard Season 1. Star Trek The Next Generation. Captain America. This one could have gone on all day and still be great. Wash is out of uniform today, but looking good. Erica gets some fan questions in, we play a round of Star Trek Trivia, and we subject Frakes to being "Stuck on a Deserted Island with Connor Trinneer.” Get ready to have a laugh.

@@CellPhonzRockEnterprises what really killed Enterprise was that UPN moved it to Fridays at like 8. UPN was a small network that no one got anyway, and that time slot was when everyone was out. This came after a decade of having multiple star trek’s on. We were spoiled. The show would have done great if they gave it a chance.

I watched Enterprise for the first time last year, having watched TNG/DS9/VOY while they were airing, and I greatly enjoyed all 4 seasons, and felt it definitely hit its stride by season 3. The only thing I didn't like were the time traveling Nazi plots, which just felt like political propaganda, so I started skipping those. But overall I like Enterprise 2nd best after TNG.

After 2 seasons I couldn't take it anymore. Had it not been for COVID, I would never have known any part of the series was worth watching. I've never liked the idea of prequels. Nevertheless, the one good thing can say about Enterprise was that it filled in a lot of continuity holes from the other series including the original vary nicely. Those shows were well written and enjoyable. The origin of the human type Klingons from the original series, for example.

Dominic's style of speech is actually a form of politeness in some cultures. It shows that you are listening intently enough to follow where the speaker is going with what they're saying. I understand it can be off-putting to those not accustomed to it, but let's have some understanding, shall we?

Well things in novels and even comic books is hard to call canon because it doesn't have the quality of an ANNOUNCEMENT that a mainstream platform has. If they brought back Optimus Prime in a comic or a novel, nobody really would know or even care, but because he was brought back on National Television it's definitely official and directly canon. The whole concept of Trip btw on Section 31 is pretty interesting because it shows how old that dept. is.

"Belay that order. I can't leave him. I owe him a lifetime the least I can spare is a minute. I'll see you soon". Unarguably the most heroic line of all time in any Star Trek, ever. What a moment. Troy knew immediately, her look was devastating. This was really it. With Worf beside him RIker showed everything about why we adore these characters, this ship and this show. What a storied performance across decades to reach that moment. Fantastic history. Yes, I was in pieces and it was glorious! Well done Terry.

In my mind canon, Trip never died at the end of ENT. His death is never shown in the proper timeline. It was just a holodeck program. He was actually recruited by section 31 and became a high level agent so they tampered with the history books in order to explain his leaving enterprise.

Thank you Frakes for bringing up the end of Season Four and how you were not feeling good about it. It was heart breaking. Totally a sad way to end such a wonderful series! It would have saved it a bit for them to show Archer's speech… that would have been a better ending… but just to end it like that… ugh. I love this series and the crew. And yes, For All Mankind is brilliant!

I hope Mr Frakes well see this. It was a pleasure to watch this but not like when I saw and met him at his first Star Trek convention in Tampa Florida. Patrick Steward was supposed to be there but had to cancel so Mr Frakes took his place and it was GREAT! As a matter of fact, it was at this convention that he first sported the beard and it went so well that he kept it for the rest of the show....lol...he was a wonderful guess star and he signed a black & white photo of him. I cherish it but unfortunately something in the photo itself destabilized and was unfortunately ruined but I have my memory. Mr Frakes, if you read this you may remember me, I had a fully lighted by my own design that I showed you at the signing table and you signed the base for me. I really loved watching you all in action once again! It was like getting the 8th season of Next Gen we never got so thank you!

ya i remember the pitch was that there were not going to be stunt cameos and such and then... I skipped season 2 and i was told season 3 was excellent and i think it was the best of the bunch. Cool to see everyone. i did not realize Enterprise was that long ago!

How great would this episode have been if Mr Frakes got up and went to Dominic and back handed him saying "STFU AND LET ME FINISH!!!"

@@ShuttlepodShow No, seriously - tell him to reign it in. Like, he's got good energy and good engagement but he really needs to pull it back a little. ATM he's just stifling the guests and the whole flow of the conversation.

That was hysterical. Jonathan Franks says "little known fact" that he shares a birthday with Gene Rodenberry. Then Conner says, " Not anymore," and looks directly at the camera out to the. Internet crowd watching. I started laughing out loud.

Very cool to have number 1 on the show. Just gives us hopes for future endeavors it’s too bad who ever holds the trademarks won’t go further with the Star Trek universe. This is the time.

I have to say that I love your shows (both Enterprise and this) and it's always a pleasure to listen to the amazing stories revolving around my favorite franchise while working . It makes me feel that I'm part of the family (which I'm not, obviously). Also … you should take the novels into account that were written after Enterprise ended. I know, they don‘t pay your rent, but they managed to "resurrect" Trip in a quite convincing way and gave all the characters a few more interesting adventures and a better farewell. But I would love to see you come back in a way in a new TV show, as I think all of us here would …

I’ve never seen a Jonathan Frakes interview that I didn’t like. He just lays it all out there doesn’t sugarcoat anything. To use a cliche he’s just real. 😎

I love this podcast but everyone is right, Dominic needs to let guests talk more without talking on top of them. It makes the podcast hard to watch with all the interruptions.

Just want to say I had a ball seeing Jonathan Frakes, Dominic Keating, and Connor Trinneer, three of my favorite Star Trek fans in the entire franchise. I do hope someday that maybe they can bring back a little bit of Star Trek Enterprise and give it a proper ending of the NX-01's crew, kind of like they did in the Star Trek: Picard Season 3 finale. And if it does happen, I would have no objections if Jonathan Frakes would direct it. But in any case thanks for the talks of old times and the laughs you gave me. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nepenthe was basically the reason I started subscribing to Paramount Plus. I was on the fence prior, and the plot was engaging enough, but that sense of sanctuary and homecoming in that episode sealed it for me.
