These panels you have made Mate are awesome and it’s great to see another Aussie doing great DCS content, is there any chance you would be able to update the files on cults or is there a way to make this entirely 3D printed and use a sticker on the front like the F18 panel? Thanks Mate.
@aHornetsNest
@aHornetsNest Ай бұрын
Hey mate, yeah for sure I’ll work on that and keep you up to date I think the model itself on cults is fully 3D printable because I remember splitting the case and back panel - and they just had to be glued together Also I want to update the files to include circuit board designs as well as the diy circuits :)

Hi, I need some help. I've been following your tutorials and they are really good, I understood many things 👍😀! However to build my first panel I'm using the buttons that are included in the elegoo starter kit and I learned how to wire them to the breadboard. The only problem is that I 3d printed a panel and I'm trying to make it fit the buttons but since the buttons need power the wires are getting in the way😭, I wired the buttons like you did in the video where you showed how to turn on a led with a button, and you can see the wires are getting in the way. Please help me, I don't know what to do. Thanks in advance 👍.

would you mind explaining the layering... of the acrylic and then the painting... can see how/where you painted it black, but now laser'ing the letters @12:00 I can see it stand out white, funky. don't have a laser, but like to understand the process.
@aHornetsNest
@aHornetsNest 8 ай бұрын
Hey mate so the layering goes 2mm - Opal White 3mm - Translucent Frosted Ice 3mm - Clear Acrylic The laser burns away the black plaint from the surface of the 2mm white acrylic … leaving the white to show through 😃

What is the best type of acrylic to use for panels?@@aHornetsNest
@aHornetsNest
@aHornetsNest 7 ай бұрын
They there! Its a mix between budget and need - Cast Acrylic is great for scratch resistance and finish but can be more expensive - I use Extruded acrylic purely for cost and I’ve never had too much of an issue with it since I’m painting it anyway I’ll use cast acrylic for gauges and glass components For backlight - use a high light transmittance white - so the backlight shines through nicely
