Have you been to Little Hunters Beach before? What do you think about Cadillac Mountain now needing a reservation?

It is so easy to love Acadia. That it is in our backyard (big yard) makes it accessible and relatively easy to get to, although far enough away that we will never get to take her for granted. Light...it makes the composition complete, your examples at 3:38 of the tress within seconds of each other proves that point and the need for patience, along with luck to capture it. Cadillac Mountain reservation was I guess inevitable, it is way too crowded to be enjoyed. The intimacy of sunrise is spoiled with all the Ohhs and Ahhs, clapping, loud conversations and other behavior that IMO spoils the experience. My last sunrise was years ago and I experienced your people who kept getting in front of my camera, there are better places to experience the day's beginning.

Love this Sam. Would be nice to have Acadia down the street, but we shall not take her for granted. I still almost did Cadillac for sunrise, but after visiting early evening, I was content, and couldn't agree more from your experience.

Great video Mark, Acadia is on my list. I was able to visit the Badlands in South Dakota in May and is a Beautiful park. Thanks for sharing.

First thing, get rid of that alarm clock it’s very annoying! 😆. Seriously you did it again, awesome photographs loved “stones and waves”, the lone tree on granite and “Otter Point Sunset”. Looking forwards to your next episode.

You have captured some great images, Mark. Do you have any plans to post any in an online gallery in the future?

Many thanks Bruce. My struggle with social media continues. I do like the idea of an online gallery though.

I am planning for October. Check out the book “Under October Skies” by Michael Hudson. He makes an annual pilgrimage to Acadia in October. I have a copy of his book and I’d be happy to loan it to you. Or , come over for a beer and we can plan together! Acadia is magical, especially on weekdays in spring and autumn. I went for the first time 6 years ago. Four additional visits, with two this year alone, and I’m convinced that Acadia is my favorite place in the Northeast. Our group trip in 2018 was incredible, and bears repeating. You captured some wonderful images on this trip. Sorry about your Jordan Pond strikeout, but that’s what will keep you coming back. Kind of like my Raven’s Nest Milky Way………
