Hello Josh, WOW...Great Job!!! This showed all of us DYI people .... that this Can be done by real people. Your video was so great as it shows how frustrating doing a project like this....and how Rewarding it can be when you rise to the challenge and are successful. This was a great example and life lesson to show your son, great father and son bonding...and success project. OKAY .... back to the film ...my 3rd viewing!..very inspiring. PS. Atlantic arch could really use good instructions and their own video... but they really seem to want these to be be installed professionally.... for insurance liability... You did a GREAT JOB!!! and are a great Dad.

My arch is currently in shipment. First thing I will check is that all the poles haven't been bent in shipping. This seemed way harder than is should be.

It's a good idea to read those instructions... You are supposed to use ratchet straps or line to pull the legs in 5-6"... This tension is very important to stabilize the arch and keep it from rattling

How did you access the bottom of the top gel coat to apply the backing plates? I can’t find a way to get there from my lazarette or my aft berths.

Really great video and what a challenge! Great work. If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost of the boxed arch? Really curious if it was safely lifting your dingy!

If you spent 6k on this baby why not spend 1k having it professionally installed???

Owning and running a bigger boat, you encounter a LOT of maintenance and repairs. I do all of the work on my boat, myself, with my wife and kids. While we do realize a lot of savings, it is not necessarily about the money...it is about knowing every square inch of the boat and being personally acquainted with how it is installed and where any possible failure points are.
