Dude, all I can say is 'thank you' for these. It's not common to find great solo OSR content, and these are great. I've never played old school with others, so reading these and SEEING A SOLO only perspective has me SO excited to play. I love how you don't even describe WHAT'S in the rooms really, keeps it all moving so fast. Also, where did you get those large versions of OSE? They look so much better than the small hard cover ones :D

If the traders had no treasure perhaps there’s a reason; they could have been robbed by someone or something else in the dungeon, or maybe business has been bad (chaotic traders cheated too many customers and ruined their reputation), so were driven to dungeon exploration in hopes of finding treasure, or killing and robbing a lawful adventuring party. 😉

I love watching you play in real time, also its good to see when and what you use on books or tables. Only got one question, if you build the dungeon from the D&D 5e dungeonmaster book, you have the chance to roll a chamber, then you roll for the exits, the location and exit type. so if you solo and build on the go, you are standing in front of a door and when you open the door you roll for the chamber and exits. Lets say it has 2 exits, both doors. will you include the door you just openened (the entrance) as one of those doors, or do you count the entrance and then do 2 more exits? So in other words, if you stand in the middle of the chamber, are there 3 doors or 2 doors in the room?
@Scutifer_Mike9 ай бұрын
I add more exits on top of the entrance that I came into. It lengthens the dungeon and creates more opportunities for fun 👍

@@Scutifer_Mike Thanks for answering this and also my other question. It is a little getting used to, coming from D&D 5e. I understand these things now. The other thing i have to descide for myself how i am going to tackle Thac0. I am used to the Ascending AC, but that said, if you transfer to a new system and having to learn alot of new things, why not doing it according to OSE. Anyways, i am going to finish my char sheets and start my first dungeon mapping and exploring. Again thanks for the time and effort you put into this series.

No problem! Hope you enjoy the content. The first step is determine surprise on each side. Then you roll the monster reaction to the PCs. Declare spells or retreats. Roll initiative. Then it’s movement, range attacks, spells go off, and then melee last
