I realize this is an older video and, by this time, someone has probably told you but you could use a window lacing tool for the insert lace. They come in different sizes but I have had them in larger sizes than what I ever used ...... So I end up losing them. I found your channel about a week ago and have been binge watching. A tip for using a hole saw. Before you cut score a circle with the hole saw. Then with a drill bit (1/4”) drill a couple of holes inside the perimeter of the hole ( just touching the inside edge of the perimeter. This allows the cuttings to fall thru and speeds up the cutting by up to 50% and the hole saw won’t get so hot lengthening its life and saving your finger tips. The boat looks like a submarine with the council sitting up like that.

Isopropyl alcohol is good for installing that center strip in your rub rail. You can use isopropyl alcohol on the rubber window seal when installing windows in a pilot house.

Alcohol and water makes rubber very slippery. I made a tool out of a 8" peice of 1/2" cpvc pipe. I heated up the pipe and made the end oval. Thread your rub rail insert thru the pipe and drag it down the channel with plenty of Alcohol and water as lubricant. I like to see a video on how yall layed out the stringers to follow the hull and still kept the floor level. Yall got one heck of a battle ship!!!

Around 9:40 i was thinking that you could make a spreader roller that has two flanges, one on each side that is narrow in the direction of movement, and widens towards the opposite direction of movement that spreads the bumper apart just enough. In-between the wide part would be a dowel roller that pushes the middle part of the bumper in, but won't cause a damaging friction due to it's ability to roll.

Clamp a pan of very hot water to your saw horse and heat the rub rail in hot water bath before you press it in and it will pop in with light pressure

Thanks, Yep she is a big girl! It is hard to see their true size when they are sitting on the floor in the shop. No airbags, and stock Toyota suspension all the way around. The truck handles it really nicely, but the length of the rig is about as much as I want to trailer on a daily basis. Appreciate you watching, and commenting!
