God delivered me from 29 years of homosexuality! I came back to him in 2019 and surrendered my sexuality in early 2020 and was baptized in March 2020. I've been following Torah for two years and it's the most amazing life. I would enjoy being a resource for anyone who's struggling. I had a partner for 23 years and Yah is working on her. She's studying her Bible, praying and ministering to her brother. He also has the struggle and so does one of her nieces. She still thinks she's been that way all of her life and I told her it wasn't true cause I know her life story. Yah is faithful. I pray for her and my friends in that lifestyle. I believe He will deliver them!

I was an out and proud gay man living it up in ATX after finishing my super liberal arts education at UT when I started getting convicted by the Ruach HaQodesh. After spending 10 years as an agnostic almost atheist, I would wake up in a panic sweating knowing God was real and I had to figure out the truth. It’s been a journey, but 16 years later I am doing my best to practice righteousness and learn Torah and the whole Bible. Maschiach and Torah together is the only thing that has ever really just made sense to me. Where I once had a pit of dread that lived in my soul, I now have a heart for faith, hope, and love and learning and following The Way.

My 17yr old son identifies as gay and it has been the hardest thing to walk through as his mother. I certainly did not handle it properly in the beginning, but over the past few years I’ve come to humbly accept that aside from Yah, I am helpless to change him. It’s still hard though, praying and waiting…constantly having those hard conversations, reiterating boundaries and protecting my younger son. My prayer constantly echos “I believe Abba, forgive and help my unbelief”. It does my heart so much good to hear testimonies of transformation though so thank you for sharing.

I am new to The Way and sincerely struggle with this issue. I have friends who are gay, one is a lifelong friend who has always been that way, since childhood. It is one of the things that kept me away from Christianity for many years. I still struggle with it to be honest, but this podcast has helped shed some light on. Thank you for speaking with these beautiful sisters.

There about the 37:00 mark there was a good question about how did the "deliverance" go. Was it all of a sudden or a gradual moment by moment, choice by choice. I think her answer matches what James 1 is talking about. The whole chapter is basically a how to process of sanctification. If you don't know what to do in the face of a trial or temptation, ask God. Keep your speech and conduct holy, consulting God through prayer and searching out the Scriptures honestly and humbly. The "deliverance ministries" of contemporary christian culture abdicate the role of holy living and personal responsibilities and instead commit a person to a hopeless cycle of "deliverance" and dependence on a minister. I like the honesty these gals bring.

It's great to hear that there is hope for people. I do want to mention that one of the main reasons some Christians focus so much on this particular sin and seem to ignore others is not just because they don't struggle with it or understand it... but because for the last couple of decades the world around us has focused more and more on it being a positive good in society, something to be publicly celebrated (even the white house lighting up for Pride month)... promoting it and pushing it into so many areas that it was never in before, like children's cartoons, children's clothing, TV and movie characters, even video game characters. It's everywhere we look and hard to avoid. I grew up in church during the 80s and 90s and never heard Christians talking about it back then, and there were only occasional gay characters on TV and they were usually the outcast characters. It seems like the topic really got going once the Internet took off, then got bigger when smartphones came out, and now it has exploded ever since social media apps have spread.

Great point! As I mentioned in the podcast, when we were in that lifestyle I was blinded to the enemy's agenda. I really believed that two adults loving each other had no negative impact on other people and society as a whole. Now that the scales have been removed from our eyes, it's so glaringly evident that the adversary is pushing the envelope more and more, and we've reached the point now where he's actively targeting our children at a very young age. I believe this is one of the biggest reasons so many people are homeschooling their children these days. As parents, it's becoming more and more difficult to protect our children from so much evil.

This was so helpful! Especially the part about living together out of wedlock is also sin. I've been saying this for years when asked if I think homosexuality is a sin. Yes, the ACT of homosexuality is a sin, just like the ACT of living together out of wedlock is a sin. We ALL have sin. Being same sex attracted doesn't send you hell, not having a relationship with Yeshua is what sends you to hell. Focus on that relationship and everything else will be resolved in HIS time. Sorry for the all-caps ;) Praise Yah!

I found this interview to be very fascinating and I’m so glad Yah is using you to help others. What I am confused about is your relationship with your son if you laid down your sinful lifestyle but continued living together and raising a child together. Did he call you both mom? Did/does he have a difficult time explaining his family dynamics to others? Everywhere you went as a “couple” with a child must have made people believe you were gay. Did you have to constantly explain your unique situation? It makes me wonder what would happen if only one person comes to the truth. What would that person do if they had children. It seems very complicated.
@realtalkrondaandannette3862
@realtalkrondaandannette3862 6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your questions! It is complicated, and we have done a lot of explaining over the years. We love getting opportunities to share our testimony with other people, though. We have always been open and honest with Gage, from how he was conceived to how much he is loved by us and Yah. Any time someone asks about our unique situation it presents an opportunity to testify to the faithfulness of Yah and His power to save us and keep us. We're so thankful that Yah brought us to the truth together; I'm sure it would have been very difficult and painful if only one of us had been called. Gage calls me mom and Annette grandma (with the grandkids only being a few years younger than him he heard it all the time, and it made it easier on him at school). His friends know our story and that has been helpful as well.

I am Annette's oldest son, I was born when she was married to my father roughly a decade before her and Ronda got together. I can tell you that there was always judgement, of course, people can't help themselves. Growing up in a small town I was made fun of relentlessly by other kids once they found out my mother was gay. And it is difficult to explain our family dynamic to random strangers. And yes, we've gotten pretty good at explaining it. It's a unique situation and, like yourself, most people can't really wrap their heads around it. That doesn't really bother any of us, we get it. The dynamic between me, my full sister, my little brother (it doesn't really matter that he isn't my brother by blood, family is family), my Mom and Ronda isn't so different from any other family, though. We all love one another, we look at each other as family, whatever relationship Ronda and my Mom had in the past doesn't really have any bearing on the fact that I view Ronda as family now. She is a permanent fixture in my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. Look at it this way, we spent more than a decade with Ronda as a step-mom figure. Gage was born in that time and raised as my little brother. During that time I grew to love Ronda as a step-mom. I loved Gage as a little brother from day 1. My Mom and Ronda being convicted and ending their homosexual relationship doesn't just make all that love go away. How could it? We would be monsters if we could turn off love like that. So yeah, it leaves us in a peculiar situation. A situation that most people can't really understand. But that's okay. Other people's understanding of it doesn't really change anything for us.

I think it appears to a lot of folks that homosexuality is elevated above other sins as being "the worst" but it also is the one sin that society has tried to normalize. I used to be a drunk, drug addict, a liar and a thief and there's no way to make any of those behaviors seem normal. A married pastor of a church sleeping with members of the congregation is frowned upon and everyone knows it's wrong yet, with being "gay" is somehow a lifestyle? The bottom line is that, all SIN is WRONG but people just don't want THEIR SIN to be talked about. I welcome the Ruach Ha Kodesh (holy spirit) convicting me because then I'm aware of what I need to change, amen.

I agree with Annette that not all sins are equal. John 19:11 & Matt 23 speak of 'greater sin' and 'weightier matters'. A man or a woman living a homosexual life together is much mo' insedious/ destructive b4 Yehovah than the latter. Our Western mindset will often dictate how we view these relationships. A marriage ceremony does not constitute the marriage. It is the coming together as one and the commitment between the two that seals the deal before God. Anyways, I do not want to quibble, but there is a distinction. QHow have the three children who were raised by the ladies come to understand right from wrong now that they r adults themselves?

Thank you for your comment. The kids have been taught the truth of Yah's Word, so when the adversary tries to sell his lies of "follow your heart", they have the foundation to weigh scriptural truth against the relative truth of today's society. We pray that they will always seek His will and plan for their lives.

I'm the oldest son. We understand right from wrong no differently than any other people do. I was exposed to the gay and lesbian community by my Mom and Ronda to some degree as a kid, sure, but it's not like they were trying to indoctrinate me into any particular school of thought. I knew that they loved each other and that they loved us. It wasn't really anything more than that. A mitigating factor in the situation is that I still lived with my Dad a good bit, and he was a dedicated Christian himself. So I was still heavily exposed to a typical Christian upbringing. They were convicted and ended their homosexual relationship while Gage was still very young, so he also grew up in a heavily Christian oriented environment.

If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM(gods). REPENT FALLEN ANGELS.

Don't let the enemy fill you with negative thoughts....Yah loves you!!! The enemy kills steals and destroys...don't let him get into Yahs Word daily and pray to Him He hears you

THE SCRIPTURES DO NOT SAY ALL SIN IS EQUAL THE EPISTLES OF JOHN TELL US THIS PLAINLY. HOMOSEXUALITY IS AN ABOMINATION IN THE SIGHT of YAH. Don't get it twisted. Neither fornicator nor homosexual will enter the kingdom of God but homosexuality there is a difference biblically

So they wish the people of God would accept the homosexual exactly like they are and welcome them in? WHAT? Where is that in scripture? Aren't we to love what Yah loves and hate what He hates? Doesn't He "hate all who do evil"? Doesn't He say to have nothing to do with wickedness/sin? Get rid of the yeast? Does He even hear the prayer of sinners who are unrepentant? NO, He doesn't. Can someone who understands the truth turn back to their sin like a dog returning to vomit? Not according to 1John. So either we listen to the bible's opinions on these issues or we listen to people who do not have the same opinions as the bible.

We're not saying that unrepentant homosexuals should be accepted and welcomed in the church. We're saying that if more people in the church would demonstrate the love of Yeshua to those who are blind and in sin, we would stand a much better chance of leading people to Messiah. There's no need to compromise our convictions or the truth of Yah's word to minister to the lost. Yes, we hate what He hates. But just as 2 Peter reminds us, "YHWH is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." It's our prayer that we would be able to reach those still lost in their sin and show them that there's victory in repentance and salvation. We will continue to fast and pray that the harvest may be plenty. Shalom!

@@realtalkrondaandannette3862 Yeshua called everyone to repentance. He didn't put His arm around anyone who was not seeking Yah. He never went to the corner brothel. He never visited the homosexual hangouts. He didn't visit the leper colonies even. ("You are my friends IF you do what I command" Jn 15:14) He went where His Father sent Him and commanded repentance. Those who did so, were welcomed into covenant. Those who did not, were not welcomed but cursed; whole towns even. This is agape. So you might clarify the biblical definition of "love" that is required of us toward the homosexual community and all other reprobate groups/people before criticizing. Agape is not emoting; not at all. It's not trying to make someone feel good about themselves or talking them into a new way of thinking. It's not an attempt to get the sinner to like us or think we're "loving" them more than others do or better than others do. In fact, it's not SELF promoting at all and it has no agenda to soothe feelings. Agape is doing something specific. Those who lost their first agape were told to "repent and DO what they did at first" in Ephesus. So specifically, what are we to do and how do we know if we are agape[ing] those you're talking about? 1John 5:2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out His commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep His commands. And His commands are not burdensome. We need to adjust our whole thinking with regard to this subject. Scripture says if we obey Yah's commands, we are fulfilling agape toward Him and our neighbor. As far as the homosexual community, we don't steal from them, we don't lie to them, we don't murder, we don't covet, we pay a poor man daily, etc. etc. THAT'S AGAPE. That's exactly how we "love" the homosexual community. And while we are agape[ing] them according to what 1Jn 5 says, we share that the Train is coming and they along with everyone else, need to stop playing on the tracks. No one......and I mean NO ONE recognizes their need for a Savior without understanding who Yah is and what He is going to do to unrepentant sinners. Salvation is not about adding an imaginary friend to our day we can read about or talk to. It's about bending the knee the Creator of heaven and earth who has the ability, the power and THE WILL to crush His creation for not bending that knee. That's why Torah was read to the people so that they would learn to FEAR and to OBEY Him. Those are HIs words and His motive for salvation THAT WE SHOULD AGREE WITH if we are being transformed. The point is that to criticize people for doing exactly what 1John says, as less loving than they should be, is simply not what Yah wrote or Yeshua lived out. It's elevating emotions to a place they should not be and telling others that the response of the sinner somehow defines how the message should be delivered. That's absolutely not true. Most of the time, the response WILL be rejection and hatred and we are to expect that just like that was the response to most that Yeshua addressed. But that does not mean WE were not loving. It means the unrepentant person HATED the truth and the truth teller and loved their sin more. Too many people try to white wash their sin. My sin was abhorrent and your sin was abhorrent. It put GOD on the cross. To try to lessen the horrific actions we committed, is someone who really doesn't understand the gospel. And NO, we do not need time to repent of sexual sin; otherwise it is like a dog returning to their vomit. Just as the Jerusalem council wisely discerns, sexual sin MUST stop immediately if that person is truly turning to Yah, as does idolatry and what is put in our body. This is a deal breaker. Yah does not reside in a filthy temple. Repentance of those sins are FIRST AND FOREMOST or the person did not surrender. This is Bible 101 just as 1John 2 and 3 reveal the "liar" about their spiritual state. So I would not go around telling anyone that you had a conversion experience and yet, returned to your sin.....even once. This is not consistent with the Word!
