This is Episode 22 of Guess the Trade? What I mean by that is... What does this Subscriber "Primarily" do with the tools in their bag?
But basically... Subscribers send in photos of the loadouts and we look them over and se what we can learn from them. You can be a Homeowner, Tradesperson, Handyman, whatever you call yourself... If you have tools we can all learn something from set-ups. It can be the way someone organizes their tools, or just a tool in general.
The questions aren't meant to be be answered in the video, but the comment section. Its a chance for us to learn from one another, and to get to know each other better.
Hope it is useful & THANKS FOR WATCHING!
If you want to send me photos of your loadout, you can send them to jmorg19804@gmail.com. It is best if they are in Landscape Mode. If you send pictures, make sure and include your KZbin Handle as well.

I went to Boston for the first time last summer. I’d recommend catching a game at Fenway, experiencing the atmosphere in the stadium is worth it. If you like fancy Italian food “Toscano” was one of the best meals in my life. And if you want to do something really touristy, the duck boat tour was a lot of fun. Those are my suggestions, thanks for making the videos!

There was a discussion on how clean the tools were in the live chat and I think there's 3 types. There's the person who practically cleans there tools before they put them back in the bag or leave. The cleans the tools whenever they can but not often (like said in chat people clean them before pictures). Then the rusty tools in a zippered duffle that has no organization all messy. I tend to be the first option and never have dirty tools after a job. You spend enough on these take some pride in my book. There's jobs were you don't get that option but I would like to think you do the best we can when we can. I also think this depends on if you buy your own tools or company provided if it isn't out oof pocket for you people tend to not care as much. It's why I bought my own tools besides super specialty stuff I won't use with the agreement if it breaks under reasonable usage/stolen company replaces it and I retain ownership. This agreement has worked out well and even employers see value in it. Best yet when you move on your not starting from scratch saying I use to have that tool. Just some thoughts glad you had a good vacation or holiday as others say!

Agree with you. That’s a big reason I bought most my tools even when my company would. I didn’t want to share them with people who abused them, and when I went out on my own.. it cost me $0. I either clean right after I use them, or in my garage when I get home if I’m behind schedule… but they never go very long without being cleaned up, oiled, and put away

As a sparktrician in Australia, I can confidently say that Samuel is an electrician in AUS/NZ. - Those clear plastic items in the inside zipper pouch are our wire connectors, twist cables together push in and tighten screw. - Our Tafe course (trade school) covers data and TV installation work to varying degrees, so most electricians here do at least a little bit of that work. - That punch down tool is almost definitely the cheap crappy one that comes in a kit at nearly every electrical wholesaler here. - The marvel linesman pliers are one of the two main competitors for most used pliers by electricians. Most sparks here cut, strip & twist with the same set of pliers instead of using multiple tools. - The parrot beaks (blue slim handle between pointy nose and side cutters) suggest he works with bigger cables enough that they're worthwhile. - The tool labelled GPO is something we can use to cut out drywall to the correct size for our powerpoints (General Power Outlets) and switches. All in all, probably a commercial electrician. Sorry Sam, you can't hide from one of your own.

I enjoy my marvel pliers as well in the usa but far less common to see crosscuts here. I think once people try them they end up liking them and replacing there American linemans. If a tool can be smaller cut better but grip just as well why not.

Max Pigeon has ALL the residential HVAC Service and Maintenance tools in his bag. All those short jumpers are probably for Turbo Capacitors; they can take on a range of values depending on how you jumper them. Samuel Collins is a network installer, and not just running cables; he's got tools to install from NOTHING, including building racks for switches, installing cable trays and their wiring, plus the lightweight data lines. I didn't recognize the brand of punchdown tool, but that's what that off-white "thing" was. I don't recall seeing a toner, so he probably isn't the last guy out who finishes up the data lines; I think he's the earliest parts of the job. He may also do similar low-voltage installations like security cameras, remote locks, and things like that; pure data wouldn't need some of those connector types, and I didn't see a crimper for RJ45. Maybe he sets up the data racks and does punchdowns to jacks, but doesn't do final piece to the equipment.

Max: Residential HVAC maintenance tech. Done. Samuel: Data Installation and future client of chiropractor (haulin' 44lbs?????). Even though he has a Fluke 117 - the electrician's best friend - I don't think he's a wireman cause the Fluke 323 screams "network installation". Thus taking into account all those tools (44lbs!!!!) makes me think that Samuel is the guy that comes in and just installs, from scratch, the hell out of your new network/data stuff. Jealous of his BAHCO 1/4 square drive socket set. p.s. Samuel, put some wheels on your pack.

That bag is alot empty weight wise. Mine is around 50 for my tech pack and much more than that I wouldn't do that. At that point it's not a backpack anymore. There are ways around such weight like if a job requires a few trips worth of stuff a car packout dolly for me. I work around people with heavier than mine and sadly they manage.

For all thoes veto users out there if you want to add a very low profile tape clip to your bag check out ripnot clips. There made for jeans but they clip onto the thinner veto material as well and it dosent get into the way instant tape/impact clip without adding a noholster to your tool.

One is hvac probably service tech. The red and blue grips were channel locks. Not sure they still make them. The Klein crescent wrench with red grips pretty sure you can still buy at most commercial only supply houses. Two looks like a network guy. Field piece probes are pretty nice. Haven’t had any issues with mine.

Thanks for the video! The simple answer is that I’m a 2nd year apprentice electrician in Australia. We do a wide variety of work but primarily focus on the electrical aspect of Mechanical Services (I think you guys primarily call it HVAC in America?) and Building Management Services in commercial buildings. This ranges from install, demo, maintenance, fault finding, the whole lot etc… Hence why I have a wide variety of tools as each day is different. It could vary from low voltage, extra low voltage, instrumentation, panels, networks and data racks, control systems, fire…it goes on. Was just missing my RJ45 crimper from the load-out as I must’ve left it at site the day before, so don’t think I’m crazy to carry RJ45s but no crimper. But, Let me know if you have any question about the tools and work I do! Cheers 12:07 - BLACK DIAMOND STORM 500 LUMEN RECHARGEABLE HEADLAMP 13:35 - MARVEL MVA - 200N VA PILERS (the bread and butter of Australian pilers) 14:35 - Universal bit driver, can’t say I use it too much but has come handy in some weird situations. 17:45 - that’s just a generic brand punch down tool for keystones, the hooks are just are weird accessory they add 20:00 - Bahco SL25 1/4 set, absolutely unreal and highly recommend 20:40 - That’s a GPO (General Purpose Outlet) level, for the Aussies standard power outlet and switch cutout.

Max his bag screams hvac maybe more service then install lots of trouble shooting stuff I think Samuel to me looks like a very alround spark Hard to pin it down but again leaning to service although can easily do instals with those tools too Lots of low voltage stuff but also the big croppers and other more specific electrical tools. So he does a bit of it all pointing me to service / maintenance Nice set of tools btw I would be happy to work out of that bag myself

1. Air condition serviceman, single homes and some condos. 2. Sparky specialising in low voltage and data. That grey tool at 17:49 is for installing twister-pair cables in Keystone RJ45 modules. Nice to see you relaxed after vacation.

Glad you enjoyed your break, certainly looked like a nice area. Max looks like an HVAC service / repair loadout. All the classic testers and jumper leads! Samuel looks like a domestic / light commercial sparks. The tool at 17:50 is a punch-down tool for telephone / communication outlets, but the rest of the loadout looks more like general electrical work.

If you’re gonna buy HVAC probes Fieldpiece is the e way to go. I’ve had both FP and Testo, and the FP have far greater range and just feel sturdier to me. I had the gen 2 Testo’s and the range was pitiful, although I think they might have updated them since the gen 2’s but I’m not sure. Fieldpiece other gear like they’re high end meters and scales and everything also ties to the app and it’s great. Also recommend getting a pair of Appion Core Control tools and a charging T so you can not burn your hands when (dis)connecting.

Hmm the second bag almost says IT data but it's missing some testers. The reason is either overseas alot of stone so hammer drill makes sense especially in a comerical situation(check out the logo on the battery too dead giveaway unless it's a knockoff). I too use a tech pack and it's hard to keep it under 40lbs yoy kinda just give up and make it 50 and say who cares. I do believe in a primary bag then a quick bag along with a quick grab pouch. It kinda makes you have to decide what kind of a day it's gonna be and hope you didn't choose poorly and have to go back to the work rig. If you do something enough you vet a good sense on what to expect it's intuition. The clip thing came up with a niteeyes product maybe it's a sticker? I love seeing tpxxl loadouts because it reminds me it won't to big enough for a primary bag and too big for a smaller bag so don't buy one(at least for me). Gotta keep in mind fomo will kick in gotta decide if you will actually use it.

I saw that on the battery too. I agree on the XXL… it’s kinda where I am on the MB5B. It is kinda a middle bag. Too big for a small and too little for a big.

I suck at guessing ; just a hard won lesson , about tool bags/ pouches ; Do not , I repeat have metal tape chains on your tool pouches - bags , they can get involved with notionally dead work and junction boxes , and put nasty burns to you , due to metal spall ! All my “ Tape chains “ , are Paracord and Pex , or 3/4” nylon web with plastic “ D” rings at each end ! No shocks , no burns to the upper thighs ! I make Custom tool Cary’s every now and then , trust me , I keep conductive stuff to a minimum !

Hello, yes, that's right, at minute 6.41 they present Channellock Pliers with red/blue handles, they have a whole range of pliers, screwdrivers, even tubular or bits holder like Klein Tools have, adjustable keys, all with red/blue handles . What the hell, I know better as a European about them and you don't know as an American, they're just made in America? And I know this because it also exists on Am&zqn.d3 (I wrote coded) :)))))), and I am considering buying something from Channellock as well. And at min. 13:44 it could be Marvel MVA - 200 N EUR27.09 JP VA Pliers, anyway, it's Japanese pliers according to the jaws of the pliers. At min 17:43 is a Punch Insert Network Tool for Network Cable and Sockets RJ45 Patch Panel Simple Network Wiring DSL ISDN TAE - White. It also has Klein Tools, and Fluke Networks 10051501 D914 Impact Punch Down Tool with EverSharp 66/110 Plus Screwdriver Blade.
