May I be the first to recommend a C Dory. They come from 22-26 ft long currently. Awesome little tanks of a boat with 250 mile range. Used ones sell for around $40,000 (15-20 years old). 4,500 lbs total weight with the trailer and they float in 7-8 inches of water. Anyhoo..... I will get off my soap box now. You may be looking for a 40 footer with bow thrusters for all I know. 😂 We plan to do the loop when our kids get older. Don't ya just love this channel? 😁 Best wishes to ya and God bless. 🙏

@@backwatersandbackroads In my formative years I was a avid reader of the classics and particularly drawn to Joseph Conrad, master writer of sea stories, painter of word pictures. You have the curiosity and ability to record daily transactions on your travels with companion Beagle, so putting pen to paper is not a lot different to what you already do? Try writing a bit and then ask a friend to read it aloud which is the acid test of any good writing. Each word has to earn it's place in the narrative.

The guy in the wheelhouse is watching the river, the computer navigation, listening to the radio traffic, and generally trying to be a good leader all at the same time. He's worrying about dinner, his family at home, and the crew on the boat. If that guy is an owner, he is worried about everything else on and surrounding the boat and everyone's future. A few more miles to the mouth of the cumberland, which locks into lake Barkley (one of the Kentucky Lakes) down the lakes which turn into the Tenn-Tom waterway, which dumps out in Mobile Bay. East along the Intracoastal waterway to Florida, cut through Florida (don't make me spell it!) then up the Intracoastal waterway on the east coast, up the Hudson to the Erie Canal and Back into the great Lakes.
