Totally correct. I did some diabetes in my training. In 1975 I asked the Prof., an eminent diabetologist why we gave diabetics carbs rather than fat. His answer was that a high fat diet might cause heart disease. That's how much of a disaster Keys caused.

Dr. Cywes has changed my life! Please listen. I am now off my pump, off all humalog, Prevestation, Lisinapril, Welchol, Welbutran, 1/2 of my Cymbalta, Lovaza, prednisone, only 10 units of lantus down from 50 units. This is serious! My type 2 diabetes is going to be gone. I no longer have a fatty liver. I will always have an addiction to carbs. Learning to eliminate the carbs is a challenge daily but so worth it. Thank you Dr. Cywes for leading me in this journey to get well. Get the word out. You can get healed from Type 2 Diabetes.

I’m so happy to hear that. I’ve been searching around for this information. My doctor told me this was not possible. I’m at 5.5 now and I was at 5.6 a few months ago. He says 5.5 is no problem, but I want to get to where you’re at. I exercise like crazy but I have sugar relapses.

I am not diabetic, pre- etc., but started a keto and LCHF way of eating three years ago. Had to take a long-haul flight and thought, in my ignorance, that if I opted for a diabetic meal then I could keep eating the way I wanted. WRONG! I didn't eat any of it. Everything was carbohydrate. I learned quickly.

I love this information! thank you so much. I am confused how whole food plant-based doctors say the complete opposite to this info that high carb low fat is the best treatment and they get lowered diabetes and bl pressure etc. I'm so confused cause I know personally the benefits of keto and I have studied long hours about it. If anyone could help with an answer I would really appreciate it.

Basically if fat and if cholesterol which is in every single cell and is necessary for reproduction of new cells and replacement of old cells are the root cause of modern day diseases and health related deaths...than the Innuits would have been the first to get these diseases given that they only consume animal products such as meat because there was no plants where they lived and yet they never had a history of heart attacks diabetes was unknown to Them throughout history and other diseases such as obesity was never heard of over there...this is proof that meat or fat or any animal products are absolutely utterly not the cause of these modern day diseases so what do we consume that the Innuits didn't throughout history?Carbohydrates...and a correlation between carbs and modern day diseases is far more logical than a correlation of animal products towards modern day diseases because nowadays because the Innuits got their hands on carbohydrates and western foods and drugs like alcohol they are dying just as much as the rest of the world at a younger age than ever...this should be enough proof for anyone equipped with common sense to what is healthy and what is not

Dr Cwyes: I also had a Rhodesian Ridgeback. ❤️Best dog ever. I am so GRATEFUL. I have been trying and failing keto (too much fat loading). I am wondering if working night shift has a different effect. For instance, the Dawn Effect, does that still take place on a night shift workers morning? I am working permanent nights for one year at our local hospital as a unit clerk. I love my job but I can sure feel the effects of the nights. THANK YOU!

I am actually lucky that I heard about Dr. Atkins, at the time I was eating, muffins, Pancakes, bagels for breakfast and pasta for dinner. But once I heard about Atkins, I cut all of that out -- but I left in Bread (tried to minimize it) and candy. Fast forward to 20 years later, my a1c is 5.7. I am not worried as in my mind the "disease" point was 6.3 or something... until my lab disabused me of this notion and told me 5.7 was pre -diabeates. Still I wasn't sold, until my doctor found a precursor blood cancer condition, and I was sold... it has been a tremendous journey, every day I find out something that I was told is wrong. But I am just grateful the damage wasn't worse and I can use keto / fasting to restore health.

I've heard it said, ppl will change their religious faith quicker than their food habits. In ancient times, shamans were both healers and priests. Once ppl understand the mechanics of biological processes, they will make better choices, eventually. Education, with real root cause correction instead of treatment of symptoms, is essential. Dr Cywes is helping us all understand root cause, and it demystifies and cures these horrible prosperity diseases.

Thank you for sharing your experience with patients recovering from diabetes. I would like to ask if there are any contraindictions to the ketogenic diet that would make patients immunocompromised - e.g. active infection / wound healing following toe amputation. An elderly family member has T2DM insulin dependent with active infection in toe and recent peripheral neuropathy. I would like him to get medical clearance to ensure that he has fully recovered from post operation and infection prior to commencing this type of diet in case it will contribute to health complications (e.g. delayed wound healing). He’s currently recovering well, and sticking to healthy, nutritious meals and taken steps to avoid refined carbohydrates. Would you recommend patients that are still recovering from an operation/infection to first get a medical approval and baseline blood analysis before changing their diet?

Dr. Cywes what do you think about Trulicity ? I take Trulicity and Metformin.
@Flametree1492
@Flametree1492 4 жыл бұрын
Help me understand; Dr. Cywes stated " I like metformin"?! I've been a low carb lifestyle for 16 months. I've made tremendous progress, all my metabolic syndrome symptoms have disappeared except for one, my LDL and Total cholesterol has gone up! The doctors I'm visiting are obsessed with my LDL levels and are insistent on prescribing metformin! I've politely refused and labeled me as a hostile non-compliant patient, I believe they are getting ready to dismiss me! They have ignored all my other blood work improvements. All my symptoms are gone, A1C down to 5.1 from 6.5, FBS at 90 from 150, CKD stage 3 has gone, 45 lbs weight lost 165 from 210lbs, hypertension is gone, fatty liver is resolving, apnea and reflux gone, lower limb edema is gone and so much more. Yet, will not acknowledge my progress but are dead set on putting me back on medication! I was on so many medications before I really don't want to get back on them. My feeling is this, before I had 5 different ways to die now I only have one way to die!

I have had no carbs or sugar for 20 days straight now but my blood sugar is still 180-190 even when fasting. Will it eventually go down on its own or would taking metformin help to get it going down again? Any thoughts ideas suggestions would be great, thank you.
