When you began talking about algorithms, I thought about the new documentary called "The Social Dilemma" which I recently watched. It was very insightful as to how we are being manipulated and observed in ways we never expected.

Right on, understanding/leaning into the dynamic/paradigm of paradox and transcending duality is at the core of awakening to the essence of life on this plane/in this dimension of existence (in my opinion).

James, Jesus' 1/2 brother didn't think the word "religion" was dirty- "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world"( James 1:27). having legitimate relationship with God is the focus of Biblical christianity and that is a religion according to popular and Biblical definition.

Bell has become a New Ager. I hate to break it to him as a former New Ager, but quantum physics does not support his panentheism. He was apparently influenced by doing seminars with his pal Deepak Chopra.

I agree with Josh's answer to "Is Rob Bell still a Christian?" What do you mean by "Christian?" So many different definitions, perspectives. It's not a label that means much anymore, which I find sad.
@TheVCRTimeMachine4 жыл бұрын
It's pretty simple actually. A Christian is someone who imitates the life and character of Christ. To be Christ like.

For Josh - minus the woowoo. Law of attraction is the idea that like attracts like and to manifest is focussing and putting your energy into creating the life you want.

I listened to this episode once before but after reading The Minimalists newsletter today, I was led to listen/watch again, but on KZbin. I’m glad I did. The lessons I learned today feel different than they did last time. In fact, more relevant and necessary for today’s reflection. Thank you, Joshua, Ryan, and Rob. Love people, use things.
